Heyy this is my first chapter, I would be posting new chapters most Sundays, if I don't my apologies! Thank you for reading. The Dreamer!❤️
——————————-
I am a boy with huge dreams. I love to sleep, because I could always think about things I would have never thought of when I was awake.

Growing up my family had ups and downs. My father got a bonus which was a up. My father then spending it on gambling was a down.

My mother was not a fan of my fathers gambling. They would get into a lot of fights. Finally, my mom snapped; she left just like that. Leaving me behind. I never knew her so I don't really care.

After I would have a dream, I would talk about it non stop. "Dad, Dad! I just had a great dream about a Goose and a Monkey had a sleepover!" I would shout as I bolted down the stairs.

"Son, that is impossible, some day you have to wake up," But I never did.

One day I had an amazing dream, about me being a Astronaut. I was in my space ship looking at the stars, everything was so calm and peaceful.

I loved it so much that it was all I could talk about. "Dad, we have to see the new Star Wars! It has space ships and aliens and all kinds of cool stuff like that!" I would ramble every time he turned on the TV.

"Son, this isn't about your dream again is it?" He was snarl over a beer. "Son you have to learn how to wake up, you are ten." He would always say the same thing or anything along those lines:"Just wake up, you will never ever go to space ever. Do you hear me?" "Yes," I would say, But every time he said that I just fell deeper to sleep.

I studied hard and watched the first man land on the moon with my best friend, Lori. She loved space as much as I did. Her father was a NASA engineer. We would watch him work and just be amazed.

I built loads of Legos that were NASA ships. After I was done building one I would break them, only to rebuild them with out the instructions. I got good at them. I wanted to become just like Lori's dad.

Her dad's name was Paul, he was a great guy! His wife was just as kind. I loved them as my own parents.

When I got into high school I started to realize that I was tiny and thin. I looked like a broken branch hanging by a thread from a tree. I had read somewhere that a Astronauts had to be fit and strong. So I worked out more but I never got buff or anything but I got muscles.

Soon, my father noticed. "I have never seen you so interested in school, what are you studying for?" I know my father would only put me down on my thoughts so every time he would ask I just shrugged it off.

After all I knew what I had to do so I didn't need his approval.

One afternoon I was studying in my room when suddenly I heard loud footsteps leading to my room only to find that it was my father.

Angry.

"This is IT boy, I am sick and tired of your nonsense!" He snarled at me. "What's wrong Dad?" I stuttered. "All you do now is sit up in your our room and stuff your face in books, articles, and magazines!" He stated. "You understand the house doesn't clean itself!" He roared.

I was shocked at his sudden outburst.

"What are you really doing up here?" He questioned with a harsh glare.

Before I could say anything he quickly took my book and was practically ripping through the pages.

His face went blank, then red with frustration and anger. "I thought I told you, to say away from this silly dream of yours!! I don't want your dreams to be crushed!" He paused, "Like mine did,"

But before I could say anything, he raised his arm. Then slowly put it down again. My face just had pure fear in it.

"Go clean up the kitchen or something," I quickly got up and scrambled down the stairs.

The living room was full of beers and pizza, by far the messiest room in the house. After I cleaned that hot mess, I went to the kitchen and scrubbed the dishes clean as gold.

After, finishing the rest of the downstairs I tipped toed up the stairs to see my dad pasted out again. I clean up his room and pulled a blanket over him.

He might not be a great dad, but he sure doesn't deserve a cold sleep.

"Come on!!" Teased Lori, "No I can't, finals is two weeks away and I have to study," I told Lori over the house phone. "But Cosmic's just came out with a new NASA Lego!! The one my dad was working on? Remember?" She wined.

Cosmic.

The best Comic book/Escape Room/ video game/ movie/ Arcade/Lego, store. It's the best place! There is even a cafe! It's the perfect hang out place, for teens, kids and adults! But, for some reason my dad always hates it when I go. "Too many obnoxious teens" is what he would always say, actually he would say that when ever I went out.

Anyway, of course I couldn't refuse I would just study later, I mean I have all weekend as it is, "Okay fine, I will go jeez," I chuckled and she screamed "Yes!! I knew he would eventually give in! Come on Jess! Let's go!" I paused, Jess was coming!! She didn't say anything about that! "Lori wai-" I started but she finished for me as she hung up.

Jess is Lori's little sister who has literally stocked me all the way though last year. She has had a crush on me sense she was born! Not to mention she is so mean, like think of the meanest person ever and double it by 100! Don't even get me started, but I couldn't leave them hanging like that.... I will just go. I groaned as I left the house.
