Chapter 1 - Freeing

Tomorrow was the day. The number 2 pro hero, Hawks, would infiltrate the League of Villains. He was instructed by the Hero Public Safety Commission to be a double agent to find out about their plans for the future. Hawks didn't fully understand why he was put up for this offer, but alas, he accepted the request.

He brushed away the ashy blonde hair from his face as he shuffled around the bed. Hawks looked out of the window, where the full moon lit up the dark black abyss that hung above the atmosphere. His golden eyes were droopy, probably from how late at night it was. The thought of being a double agent made him a little anxious, and his brain wouldn't fully shut down. Hawks looked at the poor, little alarm clock that rested on his bedside table.

2:57 AM

He shifted his body and turned away from the bright light shining through the room. Hawks closed his eyes, his wings wrapping around the side of him to block out the moon completely. The red feathers covered most of his body, and he tried drifting off to sleep. He couldn't.

The blonde tried for what seemed like hours. Hawks was close to finally being able to rest his eyes, when a blast shot him up and out of bed. His eyes stared at the door before opening, and they focused on the dark shadow emitting fierce blue flames from his hands.

The hero let out a loud sigh and turned on the bedroom light, revealing Dabi's slender frame from the darkness. Dabi put out his flames, and gave a sly grin. "What could you possibly want at this hour? Can't this wait until tomorrow." The blonde gave him a slow blink before rolling his eyes. "So it's true then? You're going against the heroes?" Dabi's voice was dry, and oddly calm. His deep blue eyes gave a stern look at the hero, unsure of what the answer was going to be.

"Well yea. I wouldn't be meeting with you tomorrow if I wasn't." The golden eyes looked back, and for a second, Hawks noticed Dabi's look almost soften. Maybe he was imagining it. "That means even Endeavor?" The black haired male strutted closer, and his eyes went cold as he said his fathers name.

The blonde crossed his arms and looked down at the ground. "Yes, Dabi. What is with all the questions, you could've asked these tomorrow. Why are you even here?" Hawks was face to face with Dabi now, closer than before. He had never looked at the villains face in detail, but at this moment, he did.

Dabi's scars visibly contrasted with his cool colored skin tone, and his bluish eyes that always looked cold and cruel. Hawks thought it was ironic that his look was cold yet his quirk emitted a hot, boiling flame. His dark hair was messily over his forehead, and the staples slightly glistened from the lighting of the room. The villain took a second to respond.

"I was near the area. I wanted to hear it from you. The truth." His voice was deep and mellow, it sounded as if he was almost whispering. "Okay.. you can go now." Hawk's huffed and let out a small laugh. The weirdness of this conversation was getting to him now.

Dabi closed his eyes and his lips curled into a smirk. He turned around, and he began to walk to where he entered. The black haired male turned his head over his shoulder and opened his narrowed, dark eyes. Hawks gave him a puzzled look, and before he could let out a word, the villain beat him to it.

"Oh.. and Keigo. Don't you dare think about betraying us." His golden eyes widened, and his mouth opened. Hawks' lost his voice, he couldn't think of what to say.

How does he know my name? Who told him that?

The blonde felt as though he was paralyzed. His body refused to move as he watched the villain disappear into the darkness. He stood there for a minute before closing his mouth and turning off the bedroom light. Hawks climbed back onto his bed and rested his head on the pillow, his wings retracting. The hero stared at the ceiling for a second before immediately drifting off into a slumber. He was too exhausted to fully let it sink it that Dabi knew his name.
