Lexa's POV
The Following Morning-
There's a loud crack as my knife breaks through the hide of the deer. I move the blade, tearing the fur behind it, and releasing a stream of red. Focusing on my latest kill, I let the sound of the fire crackling behind me fade out. Blood's pouring from the once tan fur, though I ignore the warm liquid against my skin. It's not like I haven't had blood on me before, lots of it for that matter.
Before long I have most of the hide removed, though a branch shifts nearby, earning my attention. I glance over my shoulder, only to see Anya struts up, hands behind her back, and the same blank gaze she always has. Without saying a word I turn back to the task at hand, starting to separate the meat into pieces, for storage purposes. Anya says nothing, merely standing behind me, observing. I don't much care for my generals breathing down my neck on a good day, let alone today.
"Do you need something Anya?" I address her presence, though I keep my eyes locked on the deer.
"A friend can't just come vist?" She asks; I can practically feel her smirk.
"Not if it's you, you don't just visit." Anya lets out a slight chuckle, before getting straight to the point.
"Why are you protecting these people?"
"I'm not." I protest.
"A year ago you would have slaughtered all of them." Sighing, I stand, careful to keep my blood-soaked hands at my sides; loosely gripping my blade.
"Anya, why are you here?" I ask again, there's something she's not telling me.
"Something... happened." She admits, her eyes dodging my own.
"What?" I question, starting to let my impatience seep through my facade.
"Remember how you said not to engage with the Skai people?"
"Anya, what did you do?"
"One of the Skai boys was attacked- and possibly used as cougar bait."
"Anya!" Taking a deep breath I turn away from her, sighing. How am I supposed to make this work and talk to these people if we're already attacking them? I'd have to clear this up now... I suppose it's not like I can reveal us, since Anya's done that for me. Without another word, I start off in the direction of the Skai peoples camp.
"Where are you going?" Anya yells.
"To fix this!" I holler back over my shoulder.
Present Day-
Lexa's POV
There's a streak of light cutting its way through the stars in the skai. Wait... that's coming this way. Hurdling towards the ground is some sort of metal contraption. Similar to the one Clarke and her friends came down in. I better get there before any other Trikru do. I start off through the woods, hand on the hilt of my sword just in case. It's not a long trek by any means, just a couple of miles. Though when I arrive I hear something that catches me off guard- a voice. A Skaikru boy beat me here. Bellamy?
