Vacation

I looked at the clock it's 9pm.

Ameoba uses pseudopodia for locomotion.

I recalled some terms while folding clothes as I have Biology exam tomorrow.

" Nishi, when are your vacation ending ?" My mother asked me as I gave her the folded clothes.

" From next Wednesday. Why ? Are planning to go somewhere ?" I cheered with a huge smile.

We may go out on vacation!

" No...no. Your dad still have to go to school, so we aren't going out anywhere. " She implied and all my excitement flew away, " I have asked Nykaa to come here for vacation. She'll come this Friday. "

"REALLY! IT'S HER LAST EXAM ON FRIDAY . SHE SAID AFTER THAT SHE WON'T GO SCHOOL. "
I TOLD MOM

" YEAH, THAT'S WHY I'M CALLING HER . BOTH RADHA AND RAJ ARE BUSY WHAT WILL THAT CHILD DO. "

" SO YOU CALLED HER THAT'S WHY SHE DIDN'T TOLD ME ANYTHING. MY VACATION ? "

" But she will have to come all by herself. " Mother wailed

" That's nothing new to her, Ma. She herself prefers this way."

"SO WHAT ! SHE IS JUST 12. "

I cut the call and yelled out to Mother,

" MUMMA , SHE'LL REACH AT STATION IN 5 MINUTES "

" Aadi !"

Mother came in hall to me calling for Brother.

" Aadi ! Where is this boy !?" She grumbled now

He may still be out with his gang.

" Yes Mother. " He came down stairs.

" Go to Train station and bring Nykaa. "

" WHY! SHE CAN COME SO LONG DISTANCE ALONE BUT CAN'T COME BY TAXI ALONE " Brother sat beside me, taking the Mobile phone from me.

"  IT'S 9 :30 WHERE WILL SHE GET TAXI FROM. GO , TAKE SCOOTY , GO." Mother now gave a death glare.

Brother now couldn't resist further as Mother's next step would come too harsh. So he stood up and brought the keys of scooter, and mother went back in kitchen.

" TAXI, TAXI STAY FOR WHOLE NIGHT AT STATION ONLY " Brother whispered now as mother was already out of earshot.

" If you have so much of issue than why don't speak directly to mother ?" I taunted him but he already was on the door steps.

Where are they ? It's been more than 15 minutes.

Me and Nykaa are cousins. My father and her mother are siblings. Well, we are not only sisters but also besties. We are of same age so get along much easily also.

The bell rang making me run towards the gate. I opened the door and there saw Nykaa. Taller than  girls of our age, she has a mascular fit and proportion as she is into sports. Whitish shade of her skin shines under sun. Also her big duo eyes made a false impression about her being innocent and weak, which is not. Infact if you look deeply into those eyes, you'll discover the ice cold expression which gives a contrasting impression of her being a serious killer. Well she is a little too serious about life and philosophical too.

She gave me slight smile which was a great deal and quite rare to see.

" I was waiting since so long. " I gave her space to let in.

" You should have been revising for exams. Aren't you scared ?" She spoke while taking her shoes off.

This comment of hers would have broke someone's heart. But I know her since I don't even rember. She likes attention too, just don't want others to know.

I opened my mouth to speak but Father took that opportunity of mine, " WAH ! NYKAA, LAST TIME I SAW YOU YOU WERE NISHIKA'S EQUAL NOW YOU ARE ADITIYA'S EQUAL"

What did he mean ? Oh ! Height.

" IF I WON'T GROW TALL HOW WOULD I BE ELIGIBLE FOR GIVING FORM "
NYKAA ANSWERED

" ALREADY LOOKING FORWARD TO FUTURE. GOOD ! GOOD ! "

" LEARNED FROM AADI "
NYKAA SPOKE WHICH MADE ME AND BRO HIMSELF SHOCKED

Brother and Nykaa are very similar but have a Tom and Jerry relationship. So, this statement of hers was unreal.

Father went inside his room, whereas we came to the other room which is mine and Brother's.

" I JUST SAID WHAT CAME INTO MY MOUTH. DON'T TAKE IT
SERIOUSLY " Nykaa revealed now that Father was gone.

" I DON'T NEED YOUR COMPLIMENT FOR MOTIVATION "
BRO SAID AFTER KEEPING HER BAG AWAY.

" Exams over ! Vacation beg--- " I ran in house rejoiced.

But then noticed that Nykaa was not here. I went into the other room but found no one. Then I heard some noises coming from backyard.
I went outside and saw Brother running after Nykaa.

" Chai Wale bhaiya ! " Nykaa ran behind the Neem tree and teased Aadi bro. " How much is one cup ?"

So this Jerry is provoking the Tom yet again. 

I sat down there at the doorstep between hall and backyard. Kept my bag aside and watched there chasing game while taking off my shoes.

Soon Nykaa was in Brother's grip. Aadi bro was hugging Nykaa from side such that her hands were also within his grip. 

" YOU CAN RUN THIS FAST! I NEVER KNEW "
AADI SAID AS HE CATCHED NYKAA

" THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENT " NYKAA SAID BEFORE STAMPING HER FOOT OVER HIS. AND AADI LEAVED HER IN PAIN .

" YOU HAVE GROWN PRETTY CLEVER "
AADI SAID RUBBING HIS FOOT

" THIS ISN'T CLEVERNESS THIS IS SELF DEFENCE "
NYKAA REPLIED

" TEACH THAT GIRL SOME "
MY MOM SPOKE POINTING TOWARDS ME WHO WAS PROBABLY WATCHING EVERYTHING FROM FAR AWAY.

" WHY AM I GETTING COMPARED HERE ! "
I SAID TO NYKAA AS WE ALL MOVED INSIDE LIVING THE backyard EMPTY .

" You are still better than me in many aspects. And my and your life are different, so don't mind what Aunt said. " Nykaa rubbed my back a little before we went to have lunch.
