The carriage rolled down the road in a steady manner. The coachman tried his hardest to keep awake for his passenger was none other than the most treasured treasure of all. A dark figure loomed quietly watching it move.Optics shifting to ensure safety before noticing a couple of hoarders, awaiting prey to catch.
Rushing past the slowly drifting carriage, no noise was heard.
The hoarders continued on. Noticing that there was a carriage nearby everyone got excited. This meant prey, which was great for them.
Unbeknownst to them, the male stood ready to kill. This'd be fun.
Screams were heard that night, and everyone was proceeding with caution. Later on in the morning they'd find hoarders chopped off, their body parts scattered all over the gore scene.
Taking a step out of the carriage, she found herself staring at the buzzing streets of the Vasilios empire.
The streets were filled to the maximum with people rushing around doing their commissions and commitments. Nobles chattering and gossiping about what had previously occured. It seemed the story of the late emperor was still roaming in everyone's mind.
Turning to her guards, eyeing some royal knights watching her wearily. "Shall we go look for some place to stay then?" She kept her voice as calm as possible. The royal knights seemed to be awaiting her to grace them with her presence. Was this the doing of the prince?
No, no it couldn't be could it? The prince probably has no idea where she was right now, and who she was at that.
In truth, it had taken quite some convincing before her father agreed with this absurd idea to visit the rival empire, but with a little push from Duchess Solon she was brought only if she promised to keep the guards close by her.
Which was a good requirement, although why would she ever leave the guards in such a place where she knew no one and had no recollection of.
"Lady Name?" She blinked back to reality as the guard seemed to glance at her worried.
"Yes?" "Do you perhaps know who they are?" He asked, pointing directly at the knights who now waved at them cheerfully.
"Not at all." It was a flat answer that was called normal for the girl. It never occured to the girl as weird that these knights were specifically looking at her. No one else.
A loud crack was heard from outside the partly open door as a man fell dead.
He was getting impatient. The guards knew this. They looked at each other, gulping. "So? Are any of you going to own up then? Or do you all want to end up dead as well?" A voice laced with pure venom as Eros sat down on the lounge.
A guard stepped forward. His body shaking with such fear as his eyes wandered to the corpse on the floor. "We've had some complications with handling Lady Name, my lo-" A sudden movement caused a large hit of pain on his face as the guard tumbled over.
"Complications!" Eros covered his eyes and then laughed. "You always have complications." Grabbing the guard's neck he squeezed it with much force. "There will be no more complications, is that understood?" The guard gasped for breath as he attempted to break free from the stronghold of the prince's hand.
The guard's face grew pale as his lungs had completely used up all their air, nodding his head furiously he tried to get the prince's undivided attention. Eros was satisfied by this, his hand unclenched, the guard gasped; his lungs happy to find the sweet taste of air once more.
Leaving the room for those cowards to do as they pleased, he went straight to his room. There stood the spies he had readily commanded to keep watch as backup for when the knights failed to proceed with their instructions.
"Report." Eros said, tipping the cold glass of water given to him earlier by a maid who was passing by against his lips, letting the water gush out into his mouth.
"Duchess Solon is hosting the princess in her home as a warm replacement home, sir." Interesting. So Medea was planning on something. What sort of treachery was it this time around?
"I see." His optics shifted from the spy to the window. "Tell them to hurry the coronation. I'd like to be crowned now." The spy bowed before leaving.
How infuriating. The Solons dared try his patience. First she took Psyche now she was going to try and take his Name? Gritting his teeth, his mind loomed thinking of ways to take her and make her his.
Name had no idea what she was looking for was him. He wanted her. In fact he needed her. She fit his final piece, she was his final piece to fix his puzzle.
Fingers combing his locks, he pushed back that feeling. There was no need to rush. He already had what he wanted. Now he just needed something to get her to him.
Opening one of the drawers, he found an elixir stored in top shape for this very moment. He knew it worked, he had tested it with another subject before.
A smile played onto his lips as the liquid gleamed in the moonlight, sounds of bells ringing.
