A flame that burned so bright, yet fleet.
It came and went in the blink of an eye,
Leaving me with memories to sigh.
Held on tight, but it slipped away,
Leaving me with nothing to say.
I thought it would last, but it was just a dream,
Leaving me in a world of steam.
