Its like I feel her presence every time she's near. I know she's here somewhere, its just I can't find her. Holding onto the leather straps, I ride Oscar to the top of the hill and see if I can locate her. From a distance, I see a small figure get into a car that has double-parked in the students parking area.

"Miss Douglas." I whisper under my breath.

"Anderson!" Coach blows his whisper, "Are you going to join the rest of your team?"

Polo is one of my many talents. Smacking my tongue to my lips, I guide Oscar down the hill to find Eddy dancing provocatively in a ridiculous rubber head of a horse. Laughing along with my team, most boys encourage him with cheers while some were on the lookout for our coach.

"I feel so sexy with this on!" Eddy sarcastically yells.

"You will feel sexy after I'm done with you." Coach's voice booms from behind me.

Our fun is cut short, "Eddy, you numb chuck. Take that off."

Chuckling away, Eddy complies and within the minute he finds his polo gloves for our practice session.

"We're going to take that trophy home this year." Oliver creates a mantra in his head.

"Yes we will." Michael coos after him.

Much like my small group of friends, we were the only boys in the Polo team. Four positions, four brilliant and resilient players. Michael has the Position One of accurate scoring, whether he has the chance or not, Michael makes sure that he scores for our team. Position Two is Eddy's department; we all rely on him to defend us with we come in contact with the opposing team. I play my part by taking Position Three; you can say that this person is the most experienced player on the team. My position requires accuracy when hitting long distances and control of my mallet. Oliver comes in with Position Four who's our most valuable player for defending the team's goal.

"You boys need to get your shit together." Coach advices, "Your first match is in a couple of weeks."

"Yes, coach." We all answer in unison.

"Warm up, I forgot my helmet inside." Coach mutters.

I watch on as three teammates mount their horses in time to grab their mallets and their polo whips. A same vibration rings through my knee guards, reaching down I grab my phone.

"Dud you turned your phone back on?" Oliver whines.

"I have to, just in case Dad calls me." I justify.

Unlocking my phone I see six missed calls from Mia and a text message. Quickly reading it, I knew I had to go and see her. She won't stop until I do. I know it. She's persistent like that. Securing it back into my knee guard I look to Oliver.

"She wants to see me after practise."

Eddy says, "Not happening."

Michael scoffs, "If you're going then we're going with you."

"Why?"

"Because, just in case she throws a tantrum, we'll have your getaway car ready."

"Good man." Oliver flamboyantly points his finger at Michael.

We all agree before our pissed off coach comes back with his navy helmet. Trotting over to our positions, I signal my team and behind our first practise of the year. We need to win this year. I need to get us through this. Coach crosses my path and drops the ball directly in front of Oscar.

"You ready, boys?" Coach rings the four of us.

"Let's do this." I whisper under my breath.
