CHAPTER XII

Cassandra POV

"SUPRISE GREY!" someone screams bursting through the door. startling both of us. "Jesus Christ! Leonardo! how many times I tell you not to do that" Artemis scolds and the guy laughs "you know how I love dramatic entrances." when I see his face my heart drops. it's the greek god or Leonardo. "are you okay Cassandra" Artemis asks and she makes the greek god notice my presence. "peril?" he calls . "greek god?" I breathe. 

we all stare at each other for a second. 

"you think he is a greek god?"

"you called me peril?"

"you know her?"

"stop" 

Artemis takes a deep breath and then says "one at a time" 

Wait I can't answer the first question. "I don't want to answer the first question!" I declare.
"But I want to know the first question" he huffs. "Then I am not answering the second" he adds.
"But I want to know the second" I protest. "And I wanted to know the first " he protest back. "Bu-"

"ENOUGH!" Artemis yells making us both shuts our mouths. She pinches the bridge of her nose. Then the phone rings. She looks at us and exhales. "After this, You two better figure out whatever is happening because I don't want anything in it" she picks up the phone and leaves the room. Giving the privacy I really don't want.

He returns his gaze to me. Walks ever so slowly to me. I can't help but just stand waiting to know what will happen. He is wearing cargo pants and an oversized sweatshirt that shows one side of his necklace.

He lowers himself to me so our faces are across from each other. With a smug and asks "you think I am a Greek god~"

By the end of the sentence, everything went through the window Seth, Artemis, even David. Everyone just vanished.
I gulp heavily "y- y-yes" I stutter and cringe at myself.

A smirk draws on his lips as he stands up straight. "Mhm," he steps back. "Now answer my question" I call. "Why did you call me peril?"

He looks at me with a smile "because when I saw you at the elevator you were punching the button out of anger, no?" He raises an eyebrow.
Is he Italian? "Right" I agree. Standing with my hands behind my back so he can't see my fidget. "I'm Leonardo by the way" he introduces himself and sits on Artemis's chair. I panic. What is he doing?

"Hi Leonardo, I am Cassandra," I say nervously going to him as he swings in the chair. "Beautiful name " he compliments still swinging. "Thank you, can you please get up from the chair" I plead glancing at the door where she left. "Why?" He asks like I said something weird. "Because this is Artemis's chair" I explain and he still doesn't budge. Holding him from swinging by the arm seat.

He looks rather offended that I stopped him from swinging. "Your point?"

I was going to answer but hearing a click from the door stops me. I glare at Leonardo but still, his eyes tell me he won't get up. So I just spin him and moves to the sofa.

Artemis enters and says "I wish you figured it out really" she stops when she sees Leonardo spinning in the chair. She walks to him.

Hah! I warned him! Good luck Greek god! She stops him from spinning. his head was twirling around like a cartoon. "Anyway" she rolls her eyes and sits in the chair across. Wait. what! What is happening?

"How did you know my brother? Cassandra" she asks crossing her leg. I stare at her for a second. Brother! I look at Leonardo and he nods. "He is your brother?" I ask in awe. "Yeah, Artemis knight " she points to herself. "Leonardo knight " and points at Leo. I move my eyes back and forth between them.

I notice they do have the same hair, eye color, and face structure. I take a closer look and they even have the same beadnova necklace. Artemis has a golden one Leonardo has a black one. "Did it click yet?" Artemis call to cut my train of thought. "Yup" I nod

"I am totally the prettiest" Leo smirks. Artemis rolls her eyes " yeah sure thing buddy"
"She literally just called me a Greek god" Leo argues and my cheeks heat up again.
"A single Greek god" she points out. 
Single? "Well.....not for long~" he rests his face in his palm and looked at me with a smug.

"Stop it! would you? you make her Redder than she already is" she smacks the back of his head making his face fall forward. "Way to ruin the mood" he scolds rubbing his head. "Fuck off" she curses him.
"I will go and come back for lunch okay" I try to excuse myself from this situation. "That will be great" she nods. "Wait! Since when did you have lunch with other people?" He gasps. "Since none of your business Leo," she shuts him.

"Can I come? Please" he pleads. "No"
"I wasn't asking you!" He scolds. "Can I come peril? Please " he pleads to me. And I am too scared to say yes or no. "You can say no I won't bite" she assures and Leo hushes her "no she won't! Right peril"

I slowly back away to the door and open it from behind leaves saying nothing.

I can hear him scream "noooo I have been rejected!" And Artemis answers  him "such a drama queen"

I smile to myself at how cute they act together.

"Come in" I call swiping through a file.
"Cassandra?" David says pecking through the door. "Yes, David?"
"Umm someone wants to see you" he declares. "Okay? Let them in" he nods and opens the door and it's worried Grace comes running to me. "Grace?!" I stand up from my desk and she hugs me tightly. "I was worried you weren't answering your phone any of my text!" She says between the pants. "Thank you David And don't let anyone in" I wave him off. "Oh, and knight sent you this " he takes out my phone and hands it. Grace's brown eyes follow it with a frown.

He excuses himself. "Why does he have your phone," she asks in a protective way. "he didn't Artemis did" I answer offering her a seat. "and why is that" 

"becuase it kept distracting the meeting so i gave it to her" i explain. "is that a meeting or a classroom she is not your teacher she can't take your phone and gives it back whenever" she argues. "no, it's my fault i forgot to ask it back" i explain more. "i don't understand why you gave it to her in the first place" she scoffs. "believe me Grace Artemis was one of the nicest people i met here" i assure her. "okay" she nods i know she is still doesn't like her but it's okay. "omg right how was the meeting" she cheers.

"oh you must hear all about it" i sit next to her and tell her about everything and about seth and even when i met greek god i mean leo at artemis's office. her gasps made my day even more. "you did not" she gasps. "i know" "god cassy that's unbelievable " she laughs at my embarrassing story. "please stop" i say with bored expression as she laughs at me. "oh that was amazing" she wipes the tears. "you know what we need to celebrate" she suggests. "for what?" i ask. "for crushing that meeting, burning that seth bitch, aaaand for making that greek god fall for you" i lines up. " i didn't do that" i argue with the fact that leo didn't fall for me.

"Denial is a river in Egypt darling let's go" she grabs my arm and takes me out the door.
