(Y/N Is about 25-30 and Scrooge is 35-50 in this okay for obvious reasons)

Your sitting in your little library/stationery shop exactly 3 days before christmas. Its not a big shop by any means but it is the largest like it
in the area. People tend to prefer to rent or buy books from your shop then the one down town. You also get quite alot of orders for papper, stamps, ink, ect. It mostly pays for itself, Well it used to...Your mother, Lilly had owned the shop before, you we're entrusted with it when she passed. She was also very good friends with Jacob Marley from a young age, so that made rent easier since Marley favorited her.

But now after both of there passing rent got a lot harder because of Ebenezer Scrooge. God, Ebenezer scrooge...he had the most frosted over heart you have ever seen. Your good friend Bob Cratchit worked for him you don't know how he could do it. Little did you know...you would find out how when that frozen over heart would soon begin to thaw.

You were sitting in your shop 'Lilly's library and stationary co.' You didn't have the heart to change it from your mother's name. You were thinking about what you were going to do for the holiday season. When Bob came in from the cold. "Hello y/n!" He said wiping his feet on the door mat trying not track the snow in. "Hello Bob! Here to pick up Mr. Scrooge's order?" You said looking up from the counter geting Scrooge's oder ready. His mood became uncomfortable and sad as he said "Actually y/n...its Tim". Your heart began to drop.

"Hes getting worse...and Mr. Scrooge doesn't pay me enough to get him the medicine he needs." Bob continued "I hate to ask you but could i borrow some shillings from you?" He looked at the ground. You could tell he was desperate."If not i unders-" You cut him off making his head shoot up to meet your gaze. "Of course I can Bob, ill do any thing i can to help". His gaze softened "Are you sure? I know your payment to Mr. Scrooge is just around the corner..." He started again. " I have enough to cover both Bob." You said trying to comfort him. You definitely did not have enough to cover both let alone Scrooge.

You stood up and walked around the counter to be met by bob giving you the biggest hug imaginable. You hugged him back tightly as a smile spread across your face. He backed out of the hug first grabbing your hand in his."Thank you y/n! Thank you. God bless you!" He said excitedly.
You reached over the counter to grab a small bag of shillings for Bob. "Don't worry about it Bob your family has always been so dear to me." You said placing it into his hand. He smiled and gave you one last hug before he started out the door. "Goodbye y/n! I hope you have a great holiday, see you later!" He waved as he left.

You walked back behind the counter looking in the register. You only had 15 out of 30 shillings you owed Mr. Scrooge. Shit how are you supposed to get that money now? You decided to take your mind off of things and started to work on your novel. It was a pretty slow day except the kids running in and out trying to get a break from the cold. After a couple chapters in progress on your book you decided to reorganize the bookshelves in you shop.

You thought as you were organizing how could Mr Scrooge be this cruel doesn't he know about Bob's children? You couldn't get your head wrapped around it. You never knew Scrooge that well...the first time you talked to him is when you were doing paperwork to take over your mother's shop (After moving in from another town after her passing) when you first moved in everybody told you to stay away from him and that running a business would be hard with him around. You being the fool you are you didn't listen. At first you thought he couldn't be too bad...that quickly changed and you saw his "rules".

You couldn't believe how long you were thinking about this. Why do I care so much? Why do I want for him to be nice so bad? Your thoughts turn back to Bob and his lovely family. Scrooge definitely needs to pay him more, he does quite a lot of work. Seeing the Cratchit's in the situation that they're in and makes your blood boil. You mumbled under your breath as you finished organizing getting ready return to your desk "Im going to give that old fool a piece of my mind..".

Apparently as you were deep in thought you didn't notice the bell ringing indicating that somebody had walked in...
