A Thawed Heart (Ebenezer Scrooge x Reader)

Previously on a Thawed Heart- Scrooge started to protest when a large ring of fire spread around you and Scrooge. "W-Whats doing on?!" You said holding on to Scrooge's arm as past laughed. She then clapped twice as the floor cracked like glass and gave way. The portal closed behind you,Scrooge,Prudence, and Past leaving nothing but Scrooge's sleeping cap.

You were sent into a world of colors and stars for a few moments. Waves of nostalgia and old memories washed over you. You couldn't really tell that you fell out of the portal intill you fell directly onto Scrooges chest. You could feel him underneath you. You had to admit he was more muscular than his suit gave away. Your face turned red as you opened your eyes to he him staring up at you. You started to get up panicked " Im so sorry- I swear i didn't mean to!" You said standing to your feet. "Its alright..." he said standing dusting off the snow that clung to him, his face also blushed.

The two of you looked up hearing Prudence above you. And then she fell right ontop of Scrooge knocking him down in to the snow again. Past burst out in a fit of laughter as he pushed the big dog off of him. "Get off..." He scolded prudence under his breath waving a finger in her face. Seeing Scrooge like this you couldn't help it, you started laughing too. He shot you a glare as stood up brushing the snow off of him once again. "Sorry, it does take its toll going this far back." Past said amused. You putting your hands on your hips "You could of said something about it!".Past looked at you confused "Did not warn you-?". Scrooge protested next to you "No, you certainly--Wait what do you mean by 'back'?" He then turned to check his pocket watch as your eyes wandered around to the world that was seemingly going...backwards?

Your thoughts were interrupted by a man walking past you singing backwards. "Were not quite there yet..." Past said sensing our confusion."Almost..." time stared to play again "There! Here we are...the past!" She said as she smiled walking off mumbling to herself. You and Scrooge turned to eachother confused, you then simply just shrugged both of you deciding on fallowing her.

She stopped in front of a big factory like billing. Just the sight of it made scrooge face drop. You but your hand on his shoulder hopefully helping. "I know this place, it was demolished years ago..I saw to that" he said in a sad tone. You saw a man walk by, you but your hand on his shoulder trying to get his attention when suddenly a large shock was sent through your arm. "OW..what the-" you started before Past cut you off " I wouldn't do that! You can't interfere with anything  here. And nobody can hear you..or see you for that matter." She said right before she teleported us inside

Once in side you saw a small boy working at his desk. He looks awfully familiar...Past shifted into the form of a young boy "Young Ebenezer Scrooge  hard at work on Christmas eve. Not very festive is it?" She said sitting down next to young Scrooge. That's Scrooge?! "Oh Scrooge! Thats you?! I do have to say you were quite a cute kid." You said fawning over the young scrooge. He blushed embarrassed when you looked back at him.

" I-I had no choice. You see, without the modest income i provided, my mother and sister, th-they would have starved!" He said turning back to past with a sad look on his face. "Did your father not have any money?" Past said. "My father? He was not a poor man, but the fool spent his way into debtors' prison!" Scrooge retorted. "Whats a debtors' prison?" You asked looking up from mini-scrooge. "Its uh...none of your business!" he spat. You were taken aback by his tone.

Then suddenly we heard a small voice singing. He whipped around to face the window "Jen..?". Just then past took us down to get a better peek.
