Thank you Eliza!!!
Mapi's jaw drops.
The receptionist just blinks.
"Happy? Am I allowed to enter now?", Alexia asks pissed off and looks at her friend, who cannot believe the words she just heard and whether she heard correctly.
Not even the old lady dared to say a word now.
"I'll take that as a yes, gracias. Now, if you'll excuse me... I have somewhere else to be", Alexia replies snottily and then enters room 5 of the ER without even bothering to knock.
The doctor-in-training had just started Erin on a vitamin C infusion, while the blonde lies on her back and stares at the ceiling.
"I just put her on an IV. I'll be back to check on her in around 15 minutes", the doctor tells her quickly before walking out the door, almost bumping into Mapi, who's still standing there with her jaw hanging down.
Seems like the defender didn't expect that.
That's good. It was a secret, after all.
"Wait. Shouldn't you call in the hand specialist first?", Alexia wonders, complainingly raising her arms as she looks after the young man, who was about to close the door.
"I took care of the wrist", he answers, and shuts the door, leaving her and Erin alone.
"Ale...", Erin mumbles, exhausted after such a horrible and turbulent day. With tired eyes, she glances over to the captain, who is standing by the door, completely speechless.
"I specifically advised them to call a hand surgeon. A doctor this incompetent shouldn't be taking care of you. It's better to have a specialist take a look at it. I'll go get one", Alexia declares promptly, visibly annoyed of the treatment her wife was receiving.
Just as Alexia was about to run after this stupid intern, Erin calls her back.
"Alexia. Stay here. Please... calm down", the blonde begs and Alexia pauses. Goosebumps rise on her skin hearing her wife's tired, broken voice talking to her from behind.
Perhaps she should calm down a bit.
"But... If... if you don't get the right treatment, then...", Alexia begins worriedly, but is soon cut off by Erin.
"No buts. It's just a sprain", the blonde clarifies quickly.
"What?", asks Alexia surprised.
"It's just a sprain. Looks worse than it is. Relax", Erin chuckles softly, finding worried Alexia genuinely endearing.
"Just a sprain?", the captain asks again, just to make sure, yet her breathing immediately relaxed.
"Yes, just a sprain. Now c'mere... what are you even doing here?", Erin asks in amazement, sits up, props herself on her healthy wrist and gestures for the athlete to approach.
"Well I... Hold on, what do you think you're doing? Lie back down!", Alexia responds as she strides over to her wife with, who sits up with a smirk, her legs dangling off the hospital bed.
"Calm down, you little tiger. I'm okay... just have to wait until this stupid infusion runs through, and then we can leave. See, even got a nice splint", the blonde smiles and reaches for her wife's hand, who tentatively glances down to the bandaged wrist.
"It's really just a sprain?", Alexia asks again, now looking back at her wife, who is pulling her closer by the waist using her healthy hand.
"Yep", the blonde chuckles and peers up, watching as her wife slowly but surely calmed down.
