Thank you Eliza!!!

Wow, already chapter 50!
Let's make it a dramatic one.

After seeing this post, which she obviously didn't like, Alexia didn't have much time to think about or even reflect on this coffee date.

Did Alexia hate that Erin met up with Lauren?

No doubt.

What was even worse, was that Erin hadn't mentioned anything to Alexia. The captain could barely focus on the interview and cut reporters off with short answers, because the only thing on her mind was her wife, who met up with her ex.

Even Jonathan noticed that something was definitely off, and before the media people could ask all their questions, he decided that the Barcelona superstar had enough and cut the interview short.

Alexia didn't say much about that.

She didn't even react or thank the head coach for allowing her to take a break. Even if it was just a short one. The captain simply hurried down the hallway and into the locker room, glad to find it empty.

Slumping back into her cubby, Alexia squeezed her eyes shut when the tears started to well up. Her throat felt tight and she was starting to experience one hell of a headache as well.

She felt completely overwhelmed.

"Not now ... ¡joder!", she hisses to herself, wiping away her tears as she blinks up at the ceiling, trying to hold them back. But it was useless. Hopeful that at least this would help calm her down, she rubbed her thumb over the tattoo her and Erin got a few weeks ago after their wedding.

Trying her best to calm her breathing, Alexia continued to rub small circles over her forearm and over the tattoo, hoping it would have the same soothing effect on her like the blonde would actually be with her.

And even though the captain was kind of upset with Erin for hanging out with Lauren and separating from the team for so long without telling her, she wished her favorite blonde was here right now.

She really needed Erin at this point.

And as if her wish had been fulfilled, the sound of fingertips tapping against the door is heard, before a blonde head peeks inside.

"Are you alone?", Erin whispers, glancing around the room before slipping inside, a look of concern on her face as she spots her wife, who had her feet propped up on the bench, her knees pulled towards her and her chin resting on them.

Erin immediately noticed that she was crying.

"What... what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be on the pitch or something?", the captain asks in a broken voice that sounded even more disappointed than she had intended, and as soon as Erin approached her and placed a cold hand on her wife's knee, the therapist also noticed how tense Alexia was.

What the hell was going on?

"I'm... yes. But Jonathan... he sent me here. He said that a player needed physical treatment, so I hurried back here", the blonde breathes, instantly realizing that Jonathan didn't send her here because Alexia required physical treatment.

But a mental one.

A treatment that only her wife was able to provide.

With a shrug, Alexia wipes away tears as Erin perches down in front of her, gently moving the captain's feet off the bench and onto the floor, causing the brunette to lean forward, head in her hands, her elbows propped up on her knees.

"What's wrong, love?", Erin asks softly, looking up as she lifts Alexia's chin with her pointer finger, allowing her to look into her wife's watery, hazel eyes.
