After dinner, I checked my notifications for Instagram.
Ok, that's a slight improvement.
This time, I got 5 likes and 1 new follower (izuxmidori). Alright, that's a good start.
I guess I have to post regularly and then I can reach 337 followers in no time.
One month later
Crystal has 453 followers now, and is so much closer to her goal of 500 followers. Me? I was celebrating with a mere 150 followers. I didn't get any comments like her super famous birthday edit. At most, maybe comments from Crystal herself, but that was all.
By then, the weighted assessments(WAs) came, and I had to go on a semi hiatus. I only posted to celebrate characters' or other editors' birthdays. Soon enough, my follower count dropped from 150 followers (pre-WA season) to 145 followers (post-WA season).
Meanwhile, Crystal, who posted with the same frequency, miraculously got 3 followers. HOW WAS SHE EVEN DOING IT? Rumours were spreading she topped the class in Maths despite the editing she does!
Crystal, I need your popularity.
