"Why do you have a lot of stuff?" Boss asked as he placed the boxes on the kitchen counter.

"My mother sent those two big boxes for your parents. Those are red ginseng from her hometown. That shopping bag is for you and the rest are for your sister. I don't know when she prepared those. My secretary just handed them to me at the airport," Noeul explained as he hovered around Boss. "Oh, this other box is from Phi Chen. He asked me to give it to you when we get home," He said as he handed Boss a brown box with a red ribbon. The young man took it and started unwrapping the present.

"I'll go freshen up first, okay? I feel sticky already," Noeul said as he made his way to the bedroom. He didn't see the look on Boss' face upon seeing the contents of his manager's "gift."

Noeul didn't get a chance to freshen up since he got back because he wanted to take care of things as soon as possible. It has been a tiring five days but it was worth it, he thought as he showered.

Noeul took a red box from the pocket of his coat when he finished. He could still remember how surprised he was when he found a white box with a red wax seal inside his handbag the moment he got to his pad in South Korea. He had no idea when it was placed there.

"I didn't want to burden you, so I just left this here. Put this on when you're ready to accept me as your boyfriend.

Please come back to me, baby. I'll be waiting.

I love you so much, Lee Noeul."

Noeul smiled as he read the note again. He opened the red box and got the platinum ring inside. He loved the simple band with two straight chasings around it. Boss has taste, he thought.  He couldn't help wondering if Boss got one for himself as well as he slipped the ring through his left ring finger. He smiled again, marveling at how perfectly it fitted him. He checked himself in the mirror one last time before he nervously made his way out of the bathroom.

Boss was waiting with a towel in hand when Noeul opened the bathroom door. He just gave Noeul a peck on the forehead before entering the bathroom. The latter just smiled at him and made his way to the bed.

When Boss got out of the shower, he saw the man he loves sitting on the bed with his back to the headboard, busily tapping on his phone.

"Still have things to wrap up?" Boss said as he made his way beside Nouel.

"Mom was just checking in on us. She wanted to know if your family liked her gifts," Noeul said, putting his phone on the bedside table.

"Give her my thanks." Boss mentally noted to call Noeul's mom the next day.

"Wanna tell me how things went?" Boss asked nervously as he put his arms around Noeul.

"Well... My mom was ecstatic," Noeul started teasingly. "I knew she liked you but I didn't expect her to be that excited," he said, watching a smile form in Boss' lips.

"It's a good thing I got there in time for the board meeting. My parents and I presented a new proposal to the board, which, thankfully, was accepted." He felt Boss let out a sigh of relief. "I will just have to go to South Korea every now and then though since the headquarters is there. Dad and I agreed that it would better if we open my business here in Thailand. That way it would be easier to for me to manage and he can transfer some of his trusted employees from his branch here." He looked at Boss and continued when he saw the latter listening intently.

"Mom will take care of the branches in Japan and Canada for now. Just until we could adjust. The expansion to Europe would have to wait until next year. The economy there is still unstable anyway because of the pandemic. Later on, we can fix our schedules whenever we're needed elsewhere. You're okay with travelling from time to time, aren't you?" He asked Boss hopefully.
