Chapter 9
You smiled, heart clenching as you watched Grace and Norm come through the entrance of home tree.
The Tsahik smiled, nodding her head as Grace walked over.
"Hello, old friend." She said, taking Grace's hand. She looked to Norm who bowed his head "I see you, may Eywa smile at this meeting"
She looked to Grace with a smile "he speaks so well." She chuckled.
You watched as the children ran over to Grace.
Some older, but from what you could tell they attended the old school.
The Tsahik and Norm stepped back as Grace bent down on one knee "look how big you are, you are so pretty" Grace said lovingly as the young girls touched her hair.
Grace giggled, face lighting up.
You felt tears forming in your eyes, you could feel her warmth and happiness from here.
You felt a hand on your shoulder and you looked over, a small smile on your face.
Jake smiled back, lifting a hand to wipe away your tears.
"These better be happy" he stated, thumb lingering before moving away.
"They are, I promise." You laughed lightly, watching as the Na'vi children counted in english, giggling when Grace wiggled her fourth finger.
It's been two months in total, since you and Jake had started to learn and train to become a part of the Omatikaya clan.
Neytiri still wouldn't let the two of you make a kill, saying something along the lines of the forest not giving us permission.
Neytiri lead us through the forest, the trees and plants glowing in the dark.
You watched as Jake approached a small lizard, lifting a finger to poke it.
The creature spun, a strange looking fan coming from it's back, lifting it up In the air. Neytiri giggled, motioning you to follow her moves.
She swung her bow against the tall grass causing more to rise and glide through the air, you looked in awe before giggling.
You chased the fan lizard in the air, putting your hand under it watching it go higher.
You heard Jake laugh as he did the same.
The three of you played amongst the lizards for a while, giggling and running around until you reached a lake.
You were breathless, the world around you glowed.
This was your home.
Neytiri grabbed your hand, a smile spreading across her face as she dragged you into the body of water with her.
You laughed, jumping into the water with her, the two of you dove in. Racing each other in the water.
You felt hands on your leg, then you were pulled back.
You came up, as did Jake.
He let out a laugh.
"Your helping her cheat?!" You laughed, splashing him.
"You think the worst of me, what if I wanted you to myself" he teased, pulling you in.
"Nice try Jake." You laughed, pushing him down into the water.
Neytiri explained to you that all energy is borrowed, and one day you have to give it back.
All the Na'vi gathered around an elder man, who had long passed.
