Hope Lost

Chapter 14

You awoke in your pod, memories of the night you spent with Jake flashing through your mind. You bit your lip with a smile, you honestly couldn't be any happier.

You exited the pod, looking over to Jakes that was already open. You stood to your feet, glancing at the time.

Is it really 4 in the morning? No way this man kept the both of you up till four in the morning!? You usually get back at 11 or even 12. How you kept up with him is beyond you.

You shook your head approaching Jake, he looked to you a small smirk coming to is face.

You put a hand on Jake's cheek, smiling at him. You placed a soft kiss on his head, before pulling away.

"You ready for bed?" Jake asked, looking up at you. His blue eyes making you melt.

"No, we have to record our day" you chuckled as a pout reach Jake's face.

"Come on she won't mind if we missed today" he reasoned, wheeling towards the hallway.

You followed behind him, he was very tempting. You bit your lip before signing, if Grace gets pissed you could always just sweet talk your way outta it. Or just cover it in your next one tomorrow.

"Fine." You chuckled, walking towards your bag. You grabbed some night cloths and did your nightly routine.

By the time you came to the bed Jake was already asleep, you smiled laying down next to him. You wrapped your arms around him, placing a soft kiss on his cheek.

"Goodnight Jake"

There was a loud explosion, your eyes flew open. Jumping up in in shock.

The smell of ash and scream overwhelming your Sense, you looked around you watching the forest burn.

No no what's going on?! You whipped around, falling to your knees watching as home tree tilted.

"No!" You cried, hand flying to your mouth.

Your eyes snapped open, you looked around quickly. You were in bed, Jake next to you turned the other way. The sun was begining to rise. Something isn't right, you have to get up now, you have to make sure everything is okay.

You stood up, glancing at the clock.

It's 7 o'clock..

You walked over to Grace's and Norm's bunk bed, careful not to wake Norm as you shook Grace awake.

Grace grumbled, one eye opening to glance at you.

"What is it?" She grumbled, sitting up.

"Grace, set me up for link. Something isn't right." Grace looked to you raising a brow.

"What?"

"Grace. Please" you said sternly, Grace was slightly shocked, you've never been so serious about something.

"Okay okay I'm going." She said, pushing her blanket back.

You quickly made your way down the hallway, heart speeding up. That nightmare, it felt to real.

You opened your pod, slipping your shoes of, quickly settling in.

Grace came into the room, walking over to computer. Pressing buttons on the holographic glass.

You closed the door of your pod and closed your eyes, waiting for your mind to slip away from your body.

You opened your eyes, the sun was coming up, you looked around seeing lush green grass and trees.
