Chapter 18
Jake lunged on to the ampsuit just in time, landing on top and yanking Quartich back. The hand of the ampsuit still managed to hit the corner of your pod and you could feel a sharp pain in your shoukder.
You hissed gripping the arm of your avatar, you quickly shook off the pain running to look for your bow.
Your head began to feel fuzzy, and your world spun slightly. Fuck your human form was running out of air, you have to do something.
Jake let out a growl, plunging his knife next to Quaritch, barely missing his head.
Quaritch managed to grab Jake by his braid and throw him down, Jake groaned in pain as he struggled for breath. His body falling limp to the floor.
Jake forced himslef back into his avatar, to keep fighting.
You fought to keep control of your avatar, but you could feel yourself fading back to your human body. You stumbled finding your bow, you stood world spinning as you attempted to aim.
Quaritch lifted Jake by his hair, earning a scream of agony. You gritted your teeth, praying to Eywa that the arrow you were about to shoot wouldn't hit Jake.
Your fingers trembled, you had begun to see double vision. You cursed, steadying your hand before Releaseinh the arrow, your vision becoming black as you fell backwards.
You gasped for air in your pod, eyes wide with fear, you let out a struggled cry as you turned to see your left arm was crushed. The mental of the pod trapping it, you attempted to pull it out but the pain became unbearable. You screamed in agony, kicking the pod, lifting your good arm slamming it against the pod door.
You began to try and lift the pod with your right hand, struggled cries leaving your mouth. You kept pushing, you could feel yourself growing weaker. Your vision becoming dark as you kept trying to push the pod open, you began to pant as your lungs became void of oxygen.
You made one more attempt to breathe before your right hand fell to your side, body growing limp.
You had begun to see black dots before your vision went completely white.
"Where do you think your going?" You felt a tug on your shoulder and you let out a laugh, sitting up to shoot a playful glare at the woman who approched.
"I just wanted to get an early start Doc" You smiled sweetly, looking to Grace. She rolled her eyes chuckling.
"Not on my watch kid, come on you need to eat" she stated, holding up a plate of eggs and pancakes she swiped from the cafeteria.
You groaned, taking the plate from her. A pit formed at your stomach, one of sadness.
She smiled softly, sitting next to you as you dug in, you felt water on your cheeks. You stopped chewing for a moment, your eyes blurring.
Why did you feel so sad, you shook your head trying to shove the feeling away.
"(Y/n)," Grace said softly. "You can't stay here"
"What?" You asked softly, looking up to her only to see you were in the forest. Grace stood before you, her avatar body standing over you.
"You can't stay" You stood quickly placing your hands on her shoulders, tears streamed down your face.
What's happening?
Your hands seemed to go through her as the forest changed, fire had begun to consume it.
"Grace?!" You yelled, whipping around. Eyes searching frantically for anyone.
You looked down you your hands, watching as they flickered between your Avatar hands and Your human ones.
