Flashback to last night.
Wei Wuxian had been running around all afternoon, chasing after the one and only Lan Wangji.
He ran around like a madman, sneaking into the backyards of peoples houses just to trash the outside of their homes.
Wei Wuxian surely regretted inviting him for a drink now.
If he'd known Lan Zhan was such a light weight he wouldn't have gone as far as taking him to a bar for a small drink.
But of course, once he knew it was too late.
Yet, he enjoyed it.
He'd grown fond of the drunk Lan Zhan, whom adventures in every place possible.
Yet he caught him now, finally having a grip on the boy, he pulled him towards a park bench before finally taking a seat.
"Ughh! Lan Zhan.. you're so fast!! Calm down will you?!" He said.
Lan Zhan just stared at the boy.
Wei Wuxian smiled.
"What? Am I that handsome?" He said.
Lan Zhan turned around, covering his face with his sweater.
Wei Wuxian whined, "Ahh! Lan Zhan!! Lan Er-Ge! Look at mee!!" He said.
Lan Zhan refused to turn around, only taking a peak at Wei Wuxian before fully turning around again.
Wei Wuxian grabbed onto Lan Zhan's arm, pulling the tall boy towards him.
"Lan Zhann!" He said in a teasing voice.
Lan Zhan still refused to turn around.
Wei Wuxian sighed before an idea came to mind.
He roughly took a hold on Lan Zhan's chin before making the boy turn to look at him, drawing their faces closer together.
"Lan Zhann." He said in a soft low voice.
Lan Zhan's face grew surprised, blush started spreading to his ears as he looked down at Wei Wuxian's lips.
Then, averting his gaze up to Wei Wuxian's eyes that watched him carefully.
"Lan Zhan." He said, this time breathless.
Lan Zhan trembled under the soft touches that made his heart flutter.
His eye lashes seemed to tremble as he looked into Wei Wuxian's eyes then back to his lips.
"Mn." He answered.
Wei Wuxian felt the air flow out his lungs as he looked into Lan Zhan's eyes, engulfing in the tall figure who sat beside him.
Watching him.
"You're beautiful." He said, thinking about nothing but the Lan Zhan that sat in front of him.
Lan Zhan felt his heart pounding against his chest, though it all felt a haze he still felt part of his consciousness, begging him to turn away.
But his heart wouldn't let him, making him sit there in that solid cold seat.
Wei Wuxian watched as Lan Zhan displayed hesitation in his eyes, seeming that he had gone into a internal battle with himself.
But before Wei Wuxian could think any further he felt a hand wrap around the back of his neck, pulling his face closer to Lan Zhan, who's eyes were staring intensely at his lips.
Senseless about what is about to happen Wei Wuxian doesn't hesitate, smashing their lips together into a messy kiss as his chest felt light.
His whole world seemed to focus onto that kiss, onto Lan Zhan's lips.
He knew it was wrong but he couldn't get out of the sickening thrill, the feeling of his heart pounding in his chest everything but right.
But soon, before he could even go about thinking about what is going on, Lan Zhan suddenly pushes him away, letting his limb body fall onto the side of the bench.
He watched Lan Zhan, whose chest heaved up and down, his breaths unstable as he looked down to the floor, avoiding all contact with Wei Wuxian.
Wei Ying felt his chest tighten.
"L-Lan Zhan?.." He said.
Lan Zhan didn't answer, his hands were shaking.
Then did Wei Wuxian realize what he did wrong.
He felt panic rise in his chest as he moved closer to Lan Zhan, who suddenly turned around holding Wei Wuxian's hand, preventing it from touching anywhere near his chest.
Wei Wuxian looked at Lan Zhan in surprise, watching at what the taller one would possibly do.
But before he could even ask Lan Zhan what was wrong, Lan Zhan passed out, falling into his arms.
Wei Wuxian panicked, calling Wangji's name but the boy wouldn't answer.
"L-Lan Zhan?!.." He kept calling out the boys name but he wouldn't respond.
So of course, he had to take all will within himself before picking the boy up and walking to his home.
He knocked on the door, waiting for someone to respond before he saw Old Man QiRen, in a panicked state, his house behind him trashed from top to bottom.
"Wei Wuxian?! What are you doing here?!" The old man yelled.
Wei Wuxian sighed, trying to keep his inner peace.
"Old man, you're nephew." He said, pointing his head towards the boy who was passed out in his arms.
The old man's face expression immediately changed from a raged one to a one of concern, as if he'd been searching for the boy for years and he'd just gotten him back.
He took to the boy from Wei Wuxian's arms, checking to make sure the righteous male hadn't been hurt by Wei Wuxian in any way.
And only when he saw that everything was alright he calmed down.
"What are you doing with my nephew Wei Wuxian?" He said, calmly yet sternly.
Wei Wuxian smiled, "It's pretty obvious we were going out together, why ask such a dumb question?" He said.
The old man was just about to yell before he felt an hand on his shoulder, looking past him, towards where Wei Wuxian stood, then back at his younger brother who had fallen unconscious.
"Wangji?! What happened?!" He said, taking his brother off his uncle's arms.
Wei Wuxian looked at Lan Xichen, standing right behind old man QiRen with a look of concern, his only care being his brother at the moment.
"He just fell unconscious, he's alright." Wei Wuxian shortly responded.
Lan Xichen looked up at Wei Wuxian with pure concern.
"How did he fall unconscious? Did someone hurt him?!" He said, the worry starting become obvious in his features, his voice growing pitches higher as if he were about to get angry.
"He just passed out in front of me after drinking a little. I hadn't expected him to have this reaction. But he'll be okay, no one harmed him." Wei Wuxian responded.
Lan Xichen let out a breath of relief before looking back at Wei Wuxian.
"Thank you for bringing home safely." He said.
His uncle looked at him in surprise.
Wei Wuxian was about to return a "your welcome" but before he could, Old QiRen spoke up.
"What do you mean "Thank you for bringing him home safely"?! He put Wangji in danger, and he made Wangji drink!! Wangji would never do such a thing." He said.
Lan Xichen sighed, looking at his uncle.
"That doesn't matter. Even if it was wrong he still brought him home safely and has even apologized for his actions. I'm sure he wouldn't let that happen again."
Wei Wuxian nodded.
But Lan QiRen wasn't having it.
"I'd doubt it. With a student of his type has no manners, he clearly isn't disciplined at all at home." He said.
Lan Xichen shook his head at his uncle, "My apologies for my uncle Wei Wuxian, he was just deeply worried for Wangji." He said.
Wei Wuxian did his best to keep up a smile.
"Don't worry about it, I know the old man is stubborn." He said, shaking off the sudden comments about his discipline.
Lan QiRen scoffed, "He's just like her." He said.
Wei Wuxian turned to Lan QiRen.
"Like who?" He said, this time a bit more serious then he had previously been.
Lan QiRen looked at Wei Wuxian with no amusement at all.
"You're mother. She was just as a much of a trouble maker as you." He said, clearly missing how much his words had actually affected the one listening to it.
Wei Wuxian looked at him in disbelief, which soon turned into a face of rage.
"You have no right to talk about my mother like that. She was a hardworking student." He said.
Lan QiRen rolled his eyes, "She was nothing more then a trouble maker, making trouble where ever she went."
"Uncle!" Lan Xichen said in disbelief.
Wei Wuxian scoffed, "Don't. He wouldn't listen anyway. The old hag is too much of an ass to care." He said.
Lan QiRen turned red, "Wei Wuxian!! You dare speak to me like that?! May I remind you who is the elder here?!" He said.
Wei Wuxian looked at the old man up and down, "I'm starting to doubt seeing an elder." He said.
Lan QiRen was fully red at this point, looking at Wei Wuxian in rage and disbelief while Lan Xichen, whom stood beside him was in shock, watching as the two argued back and forth.
"Guards!! Take him out!!" Lan QiRen yelled.
The guards obeyed, grabbing Wei Wuxian by his arms.
"Hey!!" Wei Wuxian yelled as they pulled him out, before getting thrown out the gates in the Lan estate.
The guards slammed the door on his face, leaving him out in the cold night, which soon turned into a rainy night.
Lan Xichen gasped surprised as he looked at his uncle.
"Uncle! How could you do such a thing??! He brought Wangji home—" but before he could finish his uncle was already walking away, towards his office.
He sighed before taking his younger brother into his room and tucking him in.
He got out of the room and went into the kitchen, where he started brewing some tea.
Once he finished he walked outside, not before grabbing an umbrella.
He went towards the front gates, opening them with a key his uncle had given him.
And there, sat Wei Wuxian, silently looking out of the road, not moving a single muscle.
Lan Xichen sighed once more, remembering his uncle had kicked out Wei Wuxian without giving him the benefit of the doubt.
But he didn't ponder it more as he tapped Wei Wuxian's shoulder, stretching out the tea towards him.
Wei Wuxian looked up, seeing the older male had gone far enough to bring him tea he took it, taking a sip of the warm fluid that expanded into his throat, giving an amazing warm feeling to his body.
He felt better just as soon as he took a sip.
"I know Wangji would've done the same if he were me, but of course, he's asleep right now." Lan Xichen said.
Wei Wuxian smiled at the thought of Lan Zhan, the image of the boy's red ears as he got close to him, teasing him.
But the memory soon faded as Wei Wuxian looked at where he was now.
Sitting alone, outside in the rain without Lan Zhan.
He sighed, looking down in possibly embarrassment.
Yet what he had done wasn't forgivable, kissing Lan Zhan without him being sober, taking advantage of how drunk he was.
He clenched his fist as tears threatened to fall.
Lan Xichen saw this and immediately knew something went wrong when he was with Wangji.
"Wei Wuxian." He said seriously.
Wei Wuxian looked up at the male that stood beside him, wiping away the tears that threatened to fall.
"Y-Yes?" He said.
"Did something happen with Wangji that you haven't told us about?" Lan Xichen said, his eyes drilling holes into Wei Wuxian.
Wei Wuxian felt his breath get cut short.
"I-" but before he could continue Lan Xichen continued for him.
"So something did happen. What did you do?!" He said.
Wei Wuxian looked down.
"I- We.. I kissed him." He said, closing his eyes shut tightly as if he were waiting for a strike.
But it never came, instead only came a scoff.
"And you know how wrong that is? Correct?" Lan Xichen said.
Wei Wuxian opened his eyes, still not looking at the oldest.
"Y-Yes." He said.
Lan Xichen was about to say something before he paused.
Wei Wuxian looked up to see what he was doing but the male just stood there, looking into the distance.
"It's best if you get home now. Before it's too late." He said.
Wei Wuxian nodded, still keeping his eyes in the oldest who noticed this.
"I won't tell Wangji. But you must tell him yourself, this isn't something that I can tell him." He said.
Wei Wuxian nodded once more, being extremely grateful to Xichen for being understanding, without hiring or yelling at him.
He stood up, zipping up his coat before taking a final glance at Lan Xichen.
"Thank you. And sorry." He said before leaving.
Lan Xichen watched the boy walk away, sighing to himself.
He knew this would be harder to keep from Wangji then he had promised.
But he knew he couldn't be the one to say what happened, it was only Wei Wuxian that could.
He was trusting Wei Wuxian with this, so he hopped he wasn't wrong for doing so.
