"Hey, Mila! Is that you?", someone greets her from behind, wearing a soft smile. Slowly, she turns around, smiles back at the person, and welcomes her cordially, "Oh! Hey Ida! How have you been? It's been a year, right?"
"It is, right? Since that day", Mila says in response. Putting on a sad smile, both of them stare at the grave in front of them in a quiet manner, only the sound of birds chirping and the summer breeze could be heard.
They are in that position for quite a long time until Mila breaks the silence between them, "How's Amy doing? Did you hear from her?" With a nod, Ida answered, "I do. She's recovering. She still traumatic."
Without saying a word, Mila imagines what would have happened if Amy had been careful and blown out the candle that night. They would probably be asleep in their dorms, looking forward to seeing each other again tomorrow with cheerful smiles. No fire accident would occur, nothing to be scared off or to worry about.
"Isn't it nice?", the voice in her head whispered as she wiped the tears from her eyes.
