———————————————————————— Day after yesterday {everybody went home} Lani's POV:
I had my headphones in listening to my r&b pl on Spotify. I was bored so I just decided to take a bathe. I set the water and waited for it to fill the bath.
I took off my clothes and got in, fully relaxing my body and laying my head back. As I got in enjoying the semi-hot water on my skin I allowed my head to slip under closing my eyes
"Shut the fuck up, you sound really ignorant right now." I heard my stepdad James say. "Why are you yelling at me it was just a sugges-" my mom started but got cut off
By my step dad. "I don't give a fuck shut up and eat your food" he said. "I can speak if I want to who do you think you-" my mom said getting up but got cut off by James pushing her.
"Mommy-" I started but got cut off by kel. "Lala you wanna play hide and seek" kel said pulling me into his room. "Okay" I said dropping my dolls.
"close your eyes and when the noise stops I'll look for you okay??" Kel said grabbing pots and pants and two wooden spoons.
He began banging the pots with the spoons. I hear glass breaking over the banging. "What was that" I ask peaking from my hiding spot. "I broke something don't worry" he said
Banging louder on the pans. I could hear sobs coming from the living room. "Kel is mommy crying" I asked. "you can't make any noise remember than I'll find u faster" "okayyy"
I peeked my head up front the water gasping for air. I hurried and hopped out the shower wrapping my bath towel around me as I stared in the mirror realizing what js happened
I geared up but quickly wiped my tears and going to my dresser picking something to wear.

I sat down at the edge of the bed but something js wasn't sitting right with me. About the flashback. I ignored it and went downstairs making breakfast.
I made some buttermilk pancakes and scrambled eggs and made sun for my mom too cs ik she prob hungry. I carried it to her room but she was still sleeping so I put it on the ns
I went back downstairs sitting at the kitchen island eating my food and something still wasn't sitting right. I kept thinking about the flashback getting confused
I got overwhelmed and stopped thinking about it js finishing my food. When u was washing my dishes my mom came into the kitchen. "Good morning mami" I said. "Gm lala"
"Thank you for the breakfast you'll be here alone for a little tho I have to go to an ultrasound appointment" she said grabbing her water bottle.
Kel always distracted me when mom and James were arguing, mom always wore baggy clothes that didn't show much skin. It all makes sense now...
