Two Days Later

"Momma, c'mon hurry up," Josiah rushes me as I finish getting ready for the open practice today.

"I'm almost done bubs, Steph isn't gonna go anywhere," I say while grabbing my bag and I make my way to the living room with Josiah following right behind me.

"You don't know that mom," He folds his arms while standing in front of me as I put on my sneakers.

"Ight Josiah, Ima need you to relax. You have a guaranteed bet that you're going to meet him and the rest of the team," I say making him unfold his arms.

"I'm sorry, I'm nervous," He says.

"And that's understandable bubs but everything will go fine," I say as I grab my keys off the table. We leave the apartment and make our way to my car. I get Josiah situated before I get into the driver's seat.

"We're making a quick stop at Starbucks, you want anything?" I ask as I begin driving to the nearest Starbucks.

"A cake pop!" He exclaims and I nod.

"A cake pop it is then," I say.

Time- 2:45 pm

Once I find parking, I grab my phone so I could text Ayesha that we were outside.

Josiah and I exit the car and I hold onto his hand as we start walking to the entrance. Once we make it through the doors we're met with a security guard.

"You guys have passes?" The tall, buff security guard asks and I nod before I start fishing through my bag for the passes Ayesha gave me.

"It's okay Silas, they're with me," I hear Ayesha say as she walks up from behind me. He nods and I turn around giving Ayesha a warm smile.

"Hi Miss Ayesha," Josiah waves at her making her smile down at him.

"Hey Josiah, I know you're dying to get inside," Ayesha smiles while holding her hand out to him. Josiah looks at me for permission and I nod my head before he goes over to her. She leads us into the gym and the sound of balls bouncing on the floor, shoes squeaking and the audience filling out ears.

"Court-side seats?! Miss Ayesha, you're the best!" Josiah exclaimed excitedly. Seeing Josiah this excited brought a smile to my face, all I want is to see him happy, and being here right now is definitely making him the happiest little boy.

"You know I had to hook you up," She looks down at him.

"Naveah, Josiah, you already know Riley, and these two little sweethearts are Ryan and Cannon," She introduced us. They smiled and waved before the boys instantly gravitated toward each other while Ryan stood in front of me.

"Miss Naveah, you did Riley's hair right?" She asks looking at me with her big adorable eyes.

"Mhm, yes I did," I nod.

"Can you do my hair too, make me look really pretty?" She questions and I smile.

"Of course I can sweetie, but you're already the prettiest little girl," I say causing a wide smile on her face.

"Mom I like her," Ryan says affirmatively making Ayesha and I laugh. I take a seat next to Ayesha as I watch the boys do their thing.

"Girl, I didn't say this but your fit is too cute," Ayesha compliments.

I smile, "Thank you, I had to make sure to put some shit on and actually look decent. I always put on bummy clothes for work and look a mess," I say.

She laughs, "That was you lookin' a mess? I didn't think that at all," She shakes her head.
