"Don't forget my blanky," Josiah mentions as he walks up to me with his little Lion King blanket.

"I could never forget your blanky," I grab it and fold it before placing it in his bag for the weekend.

"Ma how are you gonna be entertained all weekend without me?" Josiah inquired as he tried to find some snacks.

"Josiah I hope you know I can be entertained just fine without you. And I have plans this weekend so don't worry bout me," I tell him.

"Plans with who momma? You got friends?" He raises his eyebrows and I blankly stare at him.

"Josiah you like to play with me too much. Yes, I have friends," I said causing him to laugh.

"I thought me and Devante were your only friends," He says with the most serious face.

My jaw drops, "Wowww," I drag letting out a breath of amusement.

"For your information, you two are not my only friends. So let's get that straight," I point at him and he nods.

"Okay momma, whatever you say," He says chuckles.

"Yeah, you need to go with your dad 'cause you irritate me," I say jokingly causing him to rush over to me hugging my legs.

"You love me ma, I'm your favorite person," He smiles, looking up at me.

"Unfortunately," I roll my eyes playfully. I pick him up placing a which kiss on his cheek before placing him back down on the floor.

"Can we get breakfast from Dunkin, please? I want hash browns," He rubs his stomach.

"Alright, I need a coffee anyway," I say as I check his bag for the second time making sure I have everything.

I stayed up later than usual because I was on the phone with Jordan for so long. Our conversation flowed smoothly and wasn't awkward even when we weren't talking.

We head out the door and onto the elevator before going to my car. I put Josiah's belongings in the back with him and he immediately takes out his iPad. After 10 minutes we made it to Dunkin's drive-thru.

"Hi welcome to Dunkin' Donuts, what can I get for you today?" The person speaks.

"Morning, can I get hash browns and apple juice?" I say.

"Alright, anything else?" They ask.

"Yes, I'll also get a medium caramel iced coffee with cream and sugar. And a sausage egg and cheese on an English muffin," I say and she repeats the order for me to make sure she got everything down.

"Alright, your total is $11.89. You can pay at the next window," They say and I give a thanks before driving up to the next window. After a couple of minutes, we get our food and I pay for it. I hand Josiah his hash browns and apple juice.

"Try not to make a mess back there okay?" I look at Josiah through the rearview mirror and he nods.

"I gotchu momma," He says.
