Antrez Pov
I roll over and see Tileria still in my bed. Last night was crazy. I check my phone. I'm just glad It's Friday. Tileria is going home tomorrow. I hope the boys woke up and got on the bus. I've over slept.
I walk down the steps and see the living room empty. Well they're gone. Good. I go back up. Tiler is stirring in her sleep. Probably fighting off all them Demons. I need to get ready for work.
By the time I'm ready this girl wakes up. "Where you going?" Dumb bitch. Where it look like going? "Work." She nodded. I walk out the front door expeditiously. We have a full team today, so I'm chilling all day. Yes.
Around lunch time, I call my brothers. "Y'all won't believe who I fucked!" They both sigh. "Tileria! That shit was crazy! She came on to me. Theses hoes can't resist Trez." Anthony sighed again.
"Antrez, don't you think that's counter productive to creating a healthy relationship with the mother of your child?" I laugh at him. If you ask me, I'm right where I need to be. Between them legs! He continues to try and tell me how to live my life. I ignore him. Andre stays quiet. "We'll I got to go so, bye bitches. Antrez out!" I hang up the phone.
The moment I end that call, my phone rings again. "Hi mr. Antrez. This is Mr.Benton. I'm your boys home room teacher. They said they didn't turn in their progress reports because you had them. I wanted to confirm that story." I laughed to myself. "Yea I still got them. They forged my signature and owe me some lines. It'll be in by Monday." I heard him say okay and hung up the phone. I get sick of the school calling me. Them kids need to get they shit together.
The day ends and I head home. When I open my door I smell food cooking. I know Micai aint learn how to work that stove yet. I rush into the kitchen. Lawrence and Micai are sitting at the table working on something. Tileria is looking over the stove. When Micai notices me. He closes his notebook and puts it on the floor. Lawrence follows behind him. Tileria pulls plates out the cabinet. They waiting on me to eat.
I come back downstairs after getting undressed to my plate already made, sitting at an empty spot on the table. I sat down, Micai prayed, and we ate. The food was is delicious. Tiler made chili. I listen to the boys tell me about school and everything else. Tileria laughs while reprimanding Micai about something he said. Lawrence laughs too. I pause.
Everynow and then I think of putting my hoeish ways aside and settling down. Just to have some shit like this every night.
Micai Pov
Mom cooked my favorite dinner. It's her last night here. She leaves tomorrow. I'm trying to prepare myself for that. I'm not sure I can take it. Dad seems content at the table. No attitude. I know they slept in the same bed last night. I went upstairs to my bathroom during the night and she wasn't in there. I hope they sleep in the same room together again tonight. I hope they fall in love.Lawrence brings up his mom coming home in a couple of weeks. I'm excited for him. He said he's probably gonna go back home at that point. Dad makes sure he knows he can always come back. Hm.
Dinner concludes and Lawrence and I get up to clean the table. Mom and Dad stay at the table talking. The tone is much nicer than the first day. A couple days ago they were so mean to each other. I'm glad they got it together.
They remain at the table after we've cleaned it. It's moms last day and I want to spend it well. "Can we watch a movie together? Its not a school night, please! Mom leaves tomorrow!" I'm Dad looks at me and then her. He rolls his eyes and nods. I celebrate.
We make our way to the couch. Mom on one side of me, Dad on the other side, and Lawrence on the other side of dad. I snuggle into dad's side and mom snuggles into me. This is everything I ever wanted it to be.
