-Aurora's Point Of View-
__________________I haven't been in touch with Mystery Boy in a while. Ever since the night we played 21 questions we haven't really been keeping up with the whole texting and talking thing. I'm convinced that he hates me, and is trying his best not to be rude and just block my number.
Why do I have to ruin everything by saying the worlds dumbest things?
--
I battled my brothers in a race down the stairs as my father came home from work. Yesterday night he told us he had an exciting announcement to share, He promised when he got home from work he would tell us. And the boys and I have been waiting impatiently all day.
"I'm home, everyone." My dad chimes from the front hallway. He set his brief case onto the floor as we greeted him.
"Whats the big news dad?" Stephen asks eagerly. He follows my dad like a lost puppy around the house, wining like a little baby until finally settling down with my dad in the living room.
"Shouldn't we wait for your mom?"
"Can't you just tell us now! I've been waiting all day for this." Colin wines.
"Alright settle down, I made a promise, I suppose I should keep it."
"Thank god!" Colin, the youngest in the family cheers from beside me.
Colin will most likely grow up to be the most attractive in the family. He's a little scrawny kid, with short blonde hair that he always gels up, He has the most beautiful foggy grey eyes, a misty colour that I would die to have. And he's surprisingly tall for his age of only 11, and unfairly good at everything.
My annoying older brother Stephen on the other hand, not so much. Although everyone in the entire school thinks he's to die for. He's the only one in the family that has dark brown hair, almost black looking that he always gels up like Colin's, but Stephens is always more messy. His eyes are one of a kind, a boring brown colour. And he's awfully tall, resembling a noodle. And sometimes he's got this weird butt chin.
"Are you listening Aurora?" My dad interrupts my thoughts. The boys look over at me, glaring and signalling me to pay attention. "Listen up, I'm about to share the exciting news." He adds.
"Yeah sorry, you can start." I murmur.
"Well." He finally begins. "I've gotten a few job offers in the past month. And if I chose to, I can accept one. Which is fantastic, But it also means we'll be moving to a whole new place. So I'm just trying to decide the best possible option. Now, I haven't really settled on anything just yet. But I think that maybe we might just be moving."
I expected the boys to be jumping all over the living room like wild gorillas but surprisingly they sit quietly. My dad's eyes trail across all of us who sit on the couch, me and Colin sharing emotionless expressions, Stephen sad.
"What about my lacrosse dad, I'm so important to the team I can't just leave, and we were doing so well. What about all of my friends at school. I'm finally considered normal and now we have to move and I need to start the proses of fitting in all damn over again." Stephen sighs dramatically, his freakishly long fingers combing through his hair.
"Well you'll make new friends at the other school Stephen, I promise you buddy you're gonna like the move."
Stephen shrugs my fathers hands from his shoulder and stands up from the couch, his jaw twitching with anger, fists clenched. Oh great, here we go again with Stephens baby tantrums.
