1:52 AM, Dazai's Apartment, Yokohama

In and out,
in and out.

Chuuya kept track of the breaths Dazai took his chest pushing against his with every inhale.
Chuuya's face was hot as Dazai slithered his arms between his, snaking up the stretch of his back. The ginger melted into his touch, and shuffled so close to the other he could almost feel his heartbeat. Dazai's breath hitched, and his eyes softened.

Their legs and arms were intertwined, and they held each other with such love and contentment. Chuuya shuffled just a bit away, Dazai whined at the loss of touch but it was soon followed by a cold hand cupping his cheek. Chuuya's other hand pushed the hair away from Dazai's void-like eyes, beginning to wrap his fingers in Dazai's smooth chocolate locks.

Chuuya could see through the window behind Dazai. It displayed a saddened and deprived crimson sky of storm clouds. The red undertones lightened the gothic aroma, like a balanced weight. He could feel Dazai begin to unravel. Tears were a new habit, it was either that or he couldn't keep himself together anymore. Before any sobs could escape Dazai's grasp, a hand moved to his back, tugging him into a warm embrace.

No words were needed. Nothing slipped out of Chuuya's lips, and yet Dazai felt so comforted. They embraced for what seemed to be an eternity before soft snores were quietly echoing throughout the room. Chuuya could feel his face heat up when the brunette mumbled his name in a whisper, snuggling so close to him he felt breathless. And soon, Chuuya too had succumbed to sleep.

3:26 AM

Dazai had awoken to arms tenderly wrapped around his waist and back. He and Chuuya were holding each other, cuddling. The smaller was sound asleep, embracing him softly with love. Dazai was startled. He had already connected the dots as to why Chuuya was here, but why were they sharing the same bed? Dazai's face flushed a deep crimson. Words couldn't describe how he felt at this moment.

When he scooted away, Chuuya shuffled forward and began to wake. He hummed a yawn and buried his head into the crook of Dazai's neck, too tired to care about what he was doing. Dazai was astounded.

"Go back to sleep," a soft and tired mumble escaped Chuuya's lips. Chuuya backed away to see Dazai, arms linked around his neck, "it's Three in the morning." The moonlight gracefully laced Dazai's ethereal complexion. Chuuya subtly blushed, no deeper than the shade of light cherry blossoms. Dazai did as he said, he closed his eyes and silently waited to succumb to sleep. However, sleep did not come, instead, she was substituted by memory, bad memories. Silent the Brunette still lay, reaching for the comfort that was Chuuya.

Chuuya knew Dazai always had a hard time falling and staying asleep. That was the reason why he was hugging him so hard, to help him fall asleep easier.

Dazai awoke again to an empty spot I'm the bed, where Chuuya had laid. He heard the sounds of breakfast being cooked in his kitchen. He's still here. Dazai was hit with an aching headache that pierced through his skull. Nausea swirled in his throat, dizziness impaling him.

He lay there, not wanting to move. The world spun around him. He sighed, "fuuuuck." Dazai didn't know if he wanted to get up and pay for the mistakes of the previous night before, or lay there forever and suffer. Hangovers were the one bad side of drinking. Suddenly he hears his door open, and a voice calling to him,
