Chapter IV
"Rosé needs to stay away from that evil monkey" Jennie was pacing back and front in their student council office as her friend Jisoo was slumped back on her chair watching Jennie. "She is nothing but trouble chu!" she added.
"Calm down Jendeuk you're making me dizzy" Jisoo complained as she massages her aching forehead. "I thought you and Lisa get along at the party last Friday? What's this all of a sudden?" Jisoo asks confuse. Though after that party, Jisoo got a massive hangover so she hasn't talked to Jennie since then and only sees her in school this Monday morning spurting about how troublesome Lisa is.
"Who told you we get along?! She nothing but a fake ass monkey and s-she's—" Jennie stops herself before she could able to finish her sentence.
She was about to say that she caught that new girl making out with Somi. Not that she doesn't trust Jisoo about that information but she already promise to Somi not to tell anyone about it, and it's dangerous because they're in school, who knows who could hear them.
"She's what?" Jisoo asks, curious.
"I caught her making out with someone" Jennie finds a way to reason her hate towards the new girl.
"And what's wrong about it? didn't know that people need to stay pristine to have friends" Jisoo retaliate still confuse about Jennie reasoning.
"Why do you keep defending this new girl? Don't tell me you have a hots for this girl too?" Jennie crosses her arm on her chest as she looks at Jisoo who rolls her eyes at her.
"Because you are being unreasonable"
"I'm not being unreasonable, she's making out with a girl who already has a boyfriend. Do you think that's a good influence on Rosé?" Jisoo's eyes widen in surprise.
"You caught her making out with someone? and rumors are really true that she's into girls? Oh my God, I knew it! what a tea!"
"That's not important, what s important for now is for Rosé to realize that Lisa is nothing but a bad influence on her" Jennie sits on her chair and sighs. "I just don't want Rosé to get involved with that kind of people and get into trouble. She's too innocent and kind for that stuff"
"Jen, I know you see Rosé as your little sister, and you always wanted to protect her but Rosé is not a kid, She's old enough to know what's right and wrong and even if Lisa tries to influence her to do new things, I know Rosé is smart and wise enough to know what's good for her. Trust her." Jisoo said with a serious tone.
"But—"
"No Jendeuk, you are her best friend what you need to do is support her decisions and let her have other friends" Jisoo cut her off making Jennie silent for a minute.
Jennie couldn't help but remember what Lisa said last Friday night in their confrontation. She remembers how Lisa accuses her of controlling Rosé's life, and how Rosé ends up not having other friends because of her. She can't help but feel sad that Lisa could be right. Maybe she's always been guarding up Rosé so tight that ended up with Rosé being so dependent on her.
