"Meng Yao, I need to discuss something with you" Lan Xichen said after returning from washing his hands and bringing bandages which he bought from a nearby shop to cover the wounds which he just embalmed with, hence, though balmed, we're still open wounds and could bleed more trough the medicine, and bandages would pretty much prevent that in some way.
Jin Guangyao tossed his head around and looked at the taller one who was getting closer, his light steps falling on the floor like peony petals, Xichen sure was aware people were sleeping near and didn't want to make big, muffled sounds.
"What do you need to discuss about, Er ge?" Jin Guangyao said and on his face was a kind smile. He thought he quite escaped and soon was going to be back on his 'throne' of ivory, gold and stained with the blood of one thousand good men, and a thousand droplets of rulers from the past's blood. But Xichen sure had other plans.
"A-Yao, you are much aware that you will quite needa new identity after this whole thing, you cannot start blow the cow (brag) about your redeeming.. This might sound sudden, but you must know you will never be Lianfang Zun ever again, no one will ever allow you to be Lianfang Zun again..

But

But you can still be a good person and have quite the role in the ruling of the Jin clan, indirectly helping Jin Ling rule it" Xichen said, and you could definitely feel the crasp in his voice as he said that, and the whispers under Jin Guangyao's, now being just a question sign, voice, and he was threw down to pieces. He had nothing left now save his chlothing and head cover, and maybe a handful of things he owned, if not less than a handful.
"So, does that mean I'm not Jin Guangyao anymore? Then what I am?" the shorter one asked, hope in his voice his aquitance will say something like 'your name is still Jin Guangyao', but instead, he got what he didn't want, and that was a short sigh and the cold words" Your name is from now on supposed to be Meng Yao, or whatever you like it to be, but never again you are a Jin. You betrayed the Jin clan and they will never welcome you back".

Ouch..

"never again you are a Jin." Those words hurt more than steamy coal carved into Meng Yao's skin. For years he tried to be reconized as a Jin and followed, obeyed and loved many, just to end up being told that he will never be a Jin.. Though, it was that he was never going to be a Jin again.
"I think I should change my name from Meng Yao, then it would be too recognizable and I don't want people to come at me in there own distress and anger and kill me pitiless" the shorter said, his kind voice becoming cold and tame.
Not being Lianfang Zun anymore? Fair enough
Not being Jin Guangyao? Alright
Not being seen as a Jin? Okay
Not being a Jin anymore, said? That hurt
NOT being Meng Yao anymore? Please no
"Who are you going to be then, ge?" Xichen asked, the crasp voice still gone. He himself was probably surprised too by the choice of his aquitance to not keep even the name he has been born with, the jade Yao and his beloved mother's family name Meng.. ¿Oh, who is he~?
" Er ge, I don't know" he said and went to lay down on his back as the wound biding was done. Everything hurt, his head, he hadn't ate anything ina while, his body, as it was covered in bruises and cuts caused by being tossed around at the temple, but the most, what hurt was his heart. His core. He felt like he had no core as everything he was now was his body. He had no name. Who is someone without a name?

Lan Xichen went to sit beside his aquitance, letting out heavy breaths. They weren't going to sleep tonight, or at the least, no way Xichen will, as he was concerned about what will happen with his dear brother after he was going to arrive to Gusu, Cloud Recceses and then to Clan Council. It was honestly stressful for both of them, as one was wondering how to stay alive after all of that and hoping for his friend to help him and the other was thinking how to help his friend and not have a breakdown, but it was unsuccessful.
Meng Yao, or whatever the name he was going to choose, closed his eyes and on his face was a smile, a smile like he realized something or thought of something nice, which Lan Xichen noticed and smiled back, confused about that reaction, he couldn't get why his mate was smiling so deeply, but he was glad that after a hard day he could smile like that.
"Er ge, I thought about what name I should choose. It will not be anything special, really.." Jin Guangyao said and rose himself to stand steady, his back leaned on the wall as he sat down, but more proper, his eyes fixed on Xichen and Xichen's eyes fixed on him.
" What did you though of? "
"Shi Yao.. I didn't want to change my name, I simply wanted to change the family name. I love my name too much to change it and I think my name fits a lot better than any name possible anyone might give me" Shi Yao said and on his face was a sincere smile. He was perhaps going to wear that name proudly, but he knew that once he changed his name to that, he was never going to be 'Meng Yao, the right hand of Red Blade Master' or 'Jin Guangyao, the right hand and son ofJin Guanshan' or even 'Lanfang Zun, Jin Guangyao, ruler of Lanling Jin clan'.
"Er ge, I also have another request, and this one may be sudden and odd,but please tell me you permit it, it would mean a lot for me"

"I want to be a disciple of the Lan Clan"
