０４： Ｒｉｖａｌ（ｓ）

"What do you say? You wanna try and get along with me."

What in the actual fuck–?

"KIM CHAEWON!!!"

There is a moment of agitation as a familiar–but more than welcome face–approaches you and Chaewon with a scowl on her face. You recognize the girl to be Oh Haewon, a responsible classmate of yours. Of course, you have to keep quiet and acknowledge her with just a boundless stare. After all, this girl can turn heads, being famous in her own right as an idol and president of the Student Council.

"Not sure if you can see, president, but I'm currently busy with my new friend here."

"This is the third time you've skipped choir practice this week. The director has asked me to come and get you, so I need you to step away from [L/N] [Y/N] and follow me."

"Catch me another time, Oh. I'm not in the mood for you."

Chaewon told the long-haired girl without batting an eye, her devilish gaze still deadlocked on your mismatched scrutiny. The way she eyes you up is enough to make your skin crawl, and that was a valid reason to swat away her adventurous hands. You take a few steps back to put on some distance, finding yourself in reach of your acquaintances. An indignant pout dances on her cherry lips, faking a hurtful reaction of being rejected.

"Why are you pushing me away, [L/N] [Y/N]? I'm just trying to be your friend."

You just wish someone–a teacher–is here to fend off the more unseemly or improper students. Yet, in desperate times like this, there are no staff members here to keep anyone in check and you're left with your own devices. You could just go up and smack the living hell out of her; however, knowing that Chaewon has a reputation as an influential idol, you had to ball your fists so that the nail dug into your palms–a faint reminder of nonviolence.
