(TW: violence mentioned, slight blood, and manipulation)

It hadn't been long since I heard the metal scraping against the obsidian walls yet again. This time the familiar sound was accompanied by additional voices with Dream's.

"Wha-" I could hear Tommy's loud voice cut into laughter before continuing his sentence, "what the fuck is happening?"

"Listen Tommy. Ever since you joined the server, you've been a headache, okay? You've brought war, you brought terrorism, you brought- BAD everything. But! But...! The cause of all the war, of everything, was attachment, right?"

The clunking sound of the platform meeting the ground stopped him from talking for a moment. This wasn't the same Dream that left me in here, he sounded much more...

violent.

"Your attachment to the disc, your attachment to Henry, to pets, to friends, to land, to countries, to items, right? Sit still for a second. Sit still for a second."

"Okay," Tubbo spoke this time, of course, he was here with Tommy. He sounded worried.

Dreams footsteps echoed through the large room as he was now entering my view.

My heart stopped as I saw him. His armor was scuffed slightly, his sword was stained with a dark red, and some dirt was caked on his legs and boots, he was in a fight and it was safe to say he won.

"That's- That's the one good thing that you've done. The one good thing you've done is you brought attachment... to the server. So, it took me a long time to realize, how important?"

"What? What's you-" Tommy couldn't continue before Dream cut him off again.

"How important attachment was, but when I did, you know, it made me stronger and I realized that... you know you're- you're- you are important, right? Well, come- Come look, come see your discs. Your discs are here...! I mean..."

The two boys stuttered as they saw the two disks. I watched as they came into my vision walking over to the two platforms.

"There's ender chests there," Tommy sounded excited as he nudged the other boy.

"Look. Yeah, sure! You could take the discs, you could put it in the ender chest if you wanted to, but it doesn't matter. I'm- you know, I wouldn't do it if I were you because then Tubbo would die, but... That's disc one." He walked over to the other pedestal that held the other disk, "and there's disk two."

"Its not even centered," Tubbo's voice sounded weak as he joked, "the disrespect."

"Yeah... Well, I mean... I- I- I don't have the best eye for design, so... But ever since, you know, attachments were on the server I cut all of mine."

"What do you mean?"

I was confused, he cut his ties? He was using others' attachments to control others?

"I blew up my house, I lost my friends. I lost my items. I lost my crossbow, my... you know... Everything that was important to me, my pets,... I cut everything, 'cause I've realized that that's what gave people power over each other. Like the reason right now you're here is because I have these dumb little items."

"So you've been-"

"I don't wanna be controlled, so I cut everything," Dream began talking as I processed what he was saying.

He was using these things to control people... to control me...

That was the last straw, I threw myself against the crate's door as the metal hit the hinges it made a clash that echoed through the room. It took the attention of the three boys as they turned to the hall.
