Chapter 3 - Hope's First Day

(Mikaelson Mansion)

"Hope come on or you're going to be late on your first day!" Hayley yelled. "Coming mom!" Hope yelled as she ran down the stairs

"About time." Klaus said "Are you ready for your first day?" He asked

"Yep, I'm super excited." Hope said as they left

(Salvatore Boarding School: Headmistress Office)

The Salvatore family were gathered in Vanessa's office.

"Come on mom, she's the daughter of the demon spawn, why do we have to be nice to her?" Allison asked.

"Like it or not, it's not Hope's fault that her parents are dicks, just show her a little compassion." Vanessa said.

"I don't like it either, but Vanessa's right Hope is innocent and we want you all to be on your best behavior." Damon said

"Yes dad." The children said

"Now let's all go down stairs and introduce ourselves to her, to make her feel welcome." Vanessa said

(The Salvatore Boarding School)

Klaus, Hayley, and Hope arrived at the school. When they got out of the car, Vanessa and her kids were standing by the door.

"Uh hi." Hope said, waving her hand. "Hi." The kids said. "Um, let me introduce you to the kids." Vanessa said.

"These are my eldest kids, Alec and Jade." Vanessa said, pointing at them. "We're twins." Alec said. "Fraternal, obviously." Jade said

"Then this is Daisy, Ashley, and Allison." Vanessa said. "Hi." The girls said

"And this is my youngest twins, Bruce and Damien." Vanessa said. "Wait a minute, you have two sets of twins?" Hayley asked, surprised. "Yeah, it was hard, but I made it through." Vanessa said

"Mom, you forgot about someone." Stephanie said. "Oh yeah, sorry about that baby." Vanessa said, walking over to her. "Last but not least, this is Stephanie." She said

"It's nice to meet you all." Hope said. "You as well." The kids said

"Hope you will be roommates with Stephanie, and she's going to show you where you'll be staying." Vanessa said

"Sure. follow me." Stephanie said

"Bye mom, bye dad." Hope said, and then she followed her.

"Ok I have another meeting to go to, you guys get home safely." Vanessa said

Klaus and Hayley walk back to the car. "You sure it was a good idea leaving her here?" Hayley asked as she sat in the passenger side.

"Trust me little wolf, she's in good hands." Klaus said and then they drove away.

(Salvatore Boarding School: Acting Class)

Hope had walked inside the class room and she sat her bag down next to her seat. A guy had walked inside as well but Hope didn't see him and accidentally bumped into him, spilling his coffee.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." Hope said

"Ah, it's cool—" The guy said

"No, here— I think it's coming out." Hope said and began to rub the coffee off him.

"You might be making it worse, actually." The guy said

The door opens and Jade walks inside and says, "Dude, why are you rubbing my fiance?" She asked

"I just— I spilled coffee on—" Hope tried to explain but was cut off. "Get away from him." Jade waved. "Relaxe, babe." The guy said as he walked over to Jade and gave her a kiss.

Vanessa walks in the room and says, "Let's get started. Everyone sit in their chairs."

"Wait a minute you're a teacher as well?" Hope asked. "Yep." Vanessa said

"What, you just thought she sat in a big office all day and did nothing?" Jade sassed. "Actually yes I did." Hope answered

"Well you thought wrong." Jade said

"Jade we talked about this, don't be such a gank." Vanessa said

Hope smiles as Jade rolls her eyes. "Alright now Hope I assume you know what Improv is?" Vanessa asked. "No." Hope said

"Improv, acting without a script, which means the actors must make up their own actions and dialogue as they perform the scene." Ashley explained

"Understood?" Vanessa asked. Hope nods her head. "Excellent." She said

"Jade, you will captain the first group of the day." Vanessa said. "Choose your actors."

"Ashley, Lizzie, Beck, and Hope." Jade said.

"Okay, let's give 'em a place." Vanessa said. "Home!" A student yelled. "And now we need a situation," Vanessa said.

"Big news." Landon said

"Why don't you go wait in the hall, Hope." Jade said. "Uh okay." Hope said and then left.

"At home, big news... And action." Vanessa said

"Hey, babe, how was work today?" Jade asked, walking over to him. "Ah, I got fired." Beck said

 "Again?" Ashley and Lizzie said

"It's okay. I have great news that'll cheer up this whole family." Jade said. "What is it?" Ashley asked. "Tell us!" Lizzie said

"I went to the animal shelter and got us... A dog." Jade said, bringing Hope out of the hallway.

"Uh, yep. I'm the new family dog. Woof." Hope said nervously

"Mom, will you please tell this amateur that dogs can't talk, and that they don't walk on two legs?" Jade asked

"Sorry Hope but it's true, if you're going to play a dog, be a dog." Vanessa said

"Woof." Hope said as she got on the floor

"And action." Vanessa said

"Uh, I went to the animal shelter and got us a dog." Jade continued

"Awesome." Lizzie and Ashley said as they petted

"Uh-oh, looks like this dog has bugs in her fur." Jade said, pulling a strand of her hair

"Uhhh, woof?" Hope said nervously

"Gross." They said as they backed away

"Aw, it's okay. I read on the internet that coffee works great for getting rid of fur bugs." Jade said, grabbing a coffee cup from a student

"Maybe you shouldn't-" Beck said

"Jade." Vanessa warned

Jade spilled coffee on Hope. She gets up and stares at Jade. "What's the prob, dog?" Jade smirked

"Class dismissed." Vanessa said

Hope ran out of the room.

"You and I are going to have a talk, young lady." Vanessa said as she grabbed Jade by her hair.
