The National Days of January 1st:

New Years Day;  Obviously but you know just to clarify.

Global Family Day; Family is important, enjoy them while you can.

Commitment Day; Make a commitment to your partner or, if your not in a romantic relationship, make a commitment to a friend, OR, make a commitment to yourself about some goal you have. This can also be called a "New Year's Resolution". 

Copywrite Law Day; Now, because of this wonderful law, if someone copies your work without your express permission they can get in trouble and you get your work back!

World Day of Peace; We all wish that it were a bit more peaceful yet.

Ring a Bell Day; Ring in the New Year! actually please don't, I don't want my ears... ringing.

Apple Gifting Day; This tradition goes back thousands of years when people would bring in the new year with a gift of an apple to the ones they cared about.

National First Foot Day; Some people believe that the first person to set their foot through their door sets the tone for the year.

Polar Bear Plunge Day; When some people decide to jump into freezing cold water. COUNT ME OUT!!!

Euro Day; It's a really convoluted thing to explain so look it up if you want to understand.

Z Day; This day is for all of those who have their last names starting with Z's or have Z's in them. My sympathy's.

Public Domain Day; Okay I really don't like doing this but again it would take like three paragraphs, at least for me, to explain so again, please look it up.

New Year's Dishonor List; Apparently you can tell your friends/family/anyone that you hate certain words they use. To be perfectly honest, I would definitely use this.

National Hangover Day; Yeah, it happens when you drink to much the day before.

National Bloody Mary Day; It's a drink named after a horrible Queen who killed a lot of people because of their religious views.

And that concludes the "National Days of January 1st".

The National Days of January 2nd: 

Motivation and Inspiration Day; Get motivated and inspired to do something  great! This "day" was passed after the events of September 11th, 2001.

World Introvert Day; HEY GUYS!!!!! I'M AN INTROVERT! AND I DON'T CARE WHO KNOWS IT! Comment if you are too.

Weigh-In Day; Why would I want to do that?! I just had two weeks of holidays and good food!

National Personal Trainer Awareness Day; Go personal trainers!! I'm sure you are very busy during January!

National Science Fiction Day; I like SiFi. Which SiFi series do you like best? Mine is definitely The Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth.

National Cream Puff Day; Because some food is so good it deserves a day.

National Buffet Day; Because buffets are awesome!

Swiss Cheese Day; I don't like Swiss Cheese. Do you?
