C/n - Classmate name
-
Y/n and Akito were sat in silence during lunch. The classroom had a few people but not a lot.
Until the boy came up to Y/n. Y/n actually remembered who he was his name was called (c/n).
"L/n I'm throwing a party at my house tomorrow! Can you come?...My friends all said they can't and your my last resort...I planned this party to be amazing and everything and everyone just ended up not going... you're probably not coming either.." C/n said.
Akito was starting to get annoyed at the boy's antics but since he was in school he couldn't cause a massive scene. All he could do is hope Y/n was busy tomorrow or something.
"I'm so so sorry! I have to practice s/n since tryouts are opening really soon! Maybe ask the rest of the class?" Y/n asked.
Akito felt himself sigh in relief.
"Of course. You decline too...when it's Shinonome somehow you're always free! Am I just a person below him or something?!" C/n suddenly said.
Y/n was stunned he even said that.
"No! Not at all! It's just...he knows when I'm free almost all the time!" Y/n explained.
...
"Or is it because you value him more than anyone else?!" C/n said.
Everyone was watching them at this point.
"Please stop! Just stop trying to compare yourself to Akito!" Y/n finally said.
C/n frowned before deeply sighing. He didn't say anything and just left.
Everyone started to whisper to one another. Y/n laid her head on her desk using her arms as support. She couldn't help but feel bad for him as if everything was her fault.
Akito was looking at Y/n worriedly.
"Are you alright Y/n?" Akito questioned.
Y/n didn't reply.
...
Y/n sat back up again and faced Akito who clearly looked concerned.
"Think so...He seems off?" Y/n said.
"Just don't get yourself involved with him." Akito responded.
Y/n nodded.

Y/n decided to confront C/n. She didn't know why she suddenly had the confidence to but she did. Akito insisted that he would wait for Y/n so she let him.
"What."
"Are you trying to manipulate me?"
...
"No! Why would I? It's all in your head."
"But every time you speak to me it's like you're trying to make me feel bad for you and-"
"That's your problem for feeling bad easily." C/n scoffed.
"Don't you think you're guessing too early? It's only been a day." C/n added.
"Yeah I might but I keep having this feeling I have to tell you immediately. Listen C/n. Im sorry if I'm making you feel worse but I genuinely don't have much of a bond with you so I don't really want to suddenly be close with you or something."
C/n's eyes widened before his fists balled up.
"Fine! Do what you want. But I'm not stopping anytime soon and I'm telling you, you're just overthinking everything."
C/n shoved Y/n to the side before stomping away.
Y/n stood there for a minute before walking out the school gates and saw Akito waiting for her.
Y/n walked up to him with a smile.
"Should we go now?" Y/n questioned.
"First you have to tell me what happened." Akito responded.
"Eh...I guess he was saying it was all in my head. I did clearly tell him that I didn't want to suddenly be close with him like a friend and I don't think he took it too well..." Y/n shrugged.
Akito had an unsatisfied look on his face.
"He's weird. I don't like the way he's acting." Akito said.
"But as long as you told him you should be proud of yourself.." Akito said while ruffling Y/n's hair.
Y/n suddenly have a huge grin of her face.
"Really?!"
"Do you think others can do that so easily?"
"Well maybe it's because you did help me gain courage so..."
Akito chuckled.
Y/n held Akito's hand before they started to walk together back home.
