I close my eyes and think of you
And your sweet
but sour fragrance that follows youI know when you walk in a room
Because all the heads turn
and stare at youAnd when you eat
I feel eyes drifting toward you
And your face and the way your jaw movesAnd sometimes when I sneak a glance
I look and see you staring at me
Marvelling at every part of my face
And my soul too
For I fear you are truly the only one
Who knows me
And the things I could doYou make me feel like the Mona Lisa
Like the whole world fights over me
Like I am capable of the most
breath-taking thingsSo when I am buried in my covers at night
I think of you
And that gorgeous smile
And I hope and pray that you think of me too
That you lay there sleepless
With insomnia too
And I hope and pray and beg
As I lie
That I lit up your world
As you lit up mine.
YOU ARE READING
The things I would do for me and for you.
