"Hey Evan! I mean, Evan, bro, sup erh what's up?" Dammit, I think. Why can't I talk to Evan normally? Even in my fake conversations.
"Because he makes you feel special, doof" My sister leans against my door, arms folded.
"Did I say that out loud?"
"Nah I just jumped into your mind and read it"
I roll my eyes at her sarcasm. " If I don't tell him today, then.... then...." I shake my head. "I have to tell him ok?"
She shrugs. "Up to you. Going tree climbing or something?"
I flip her off. "Don't make fun of his weirdness. It's so cute" I blush. Evan makes my whole world tilt on its axis. Zoe wouldn't, couldn't, understand.
*lil time skip as is necessary*
The sun glints off his hair and he smiles, blinking at the light.
"Why are you so cute?" I murmur into his ear. We sit together on a picnic blanket, hands on each other's legs.
He giggles. "No you're cute!" He kisses my jawline and I almost melt. I trace my fingers over his barely there fuzz. "The most amazing trees" Evan hums, off in his world. He closes his eyes and my heart sinks. Don't fall asleep now!
"Hey Evan?" I sit up straight, so he knows I mean business.
"Mm" His eyes still closed, he turns in my direction. His body heat warms me up and I take a deep breath.
"Are we boyfriends? Or not because I really need to know, I've stressed over us for a while and" I stop. Evan is sitting up just like me, his gaze on mine. I feel goosebumps on my arms. Is this the moment I've been waiting for? He moves his body closer to me, now we're almost touching. He kisses me slow, and then faster. I can feel his passion and I kiss him back fervently. We stay this way, twirled around in each other as the sun sets. I pull back, still desperate for Evan. All of him. "We'd better go" I say hoping Evan gets my hint.
"Why don't you come over to mine? Mom won't be back for at least two hours" He winks and my insides die. Does he know how long I've wanted this for?
We stand, the blanket wrapped around our shoulders. I grab his hand, warm and soft in my own, and we walk through the park towards Evan's house. I quickly text my mom telling her we'll be late.
"What are we going to do?" I ask.
"Obviously watch nature docos. Why? Did you have something in mind?" His voice turns sly.
"It depends" I bite my lip, trying to sound seductive.
We arrive before anything can happen and Evan unlocks the door, leading me in. I lay down on his bed while he grabs us a drink. The pillows smell of Evan and I snuggle in to the comfortable sheets. I feel a light kiss on my cheek and roll over to see Evan laying next to me. "Where's the water?" I whisper.
"I couldn't find it" He whispers back.
"I'll help you" I say, sitting up but Evan pulls me down almost instantly, and begins to take off his blue striped shirt. "No it's my favourite leave it on" I whine.
"But you won't get to see my rock hard abs"
I laugh, elation filling up my body like a ballon. I slowly pull my gray one off over my head. I hear a gasp and I look at Evan who has a bit of drool hanging from his mouth. "Stop your staring, crazy man"
"I....... Damn Con. Why didn't you tell me you had a Superman bod?"
"I was saving it for a special time, you know? No need to go around telling flaunting my hotness" I wink at my reddening boyfriend. We kiss and kiss for what feels like hours, not needing anymore than just each other.
"Next step?" Evan says, breathing heavily. I nod and run my hand across his stomach, making my way down to his hardening below, kissing every inch of his beautiful skin. I remove his pants and he does mine, never breaking the kiss.
A door slams and we break apart, and Evan looks, well, devastated. In walks his mom, Heidi. "Evan we need to start on- oh hey Connor! Was I intruding? Oh no please continue talking or whatever you were doing"
I smile. Heidi is so wholesome even after the challenges life has thrown her. "No thank you Heidi I've got to go but I won't be disappearing or anything" I look to Evan to get him to finish the sentence. He grabs my hand and continues.
"Mom? Meet Connor Murphy. He's my, my my my boyfriend"
I watch Heidi's eyes light up and she grins ear to ear. "Well Connor, considering that you are my son's boyfriend I would like you to stay for dinner" Evan nods enthusiastically and my face heats up.
"Let me call my mom and I'll be right there" I say and Evan kisses me fiercely before leaving the room.
"Connor?" Heidi stands at the doorway. "I've been telling Evan to finally make you his boyfriend for weeks. I'm really glad you are together" I get up and give Heidi a hug. We walk out to the kitchen and I see Evan with flour all over himself.
"How have you got into such a mess in like two seconds?" I smirk and kiss Evan on the nose. I could get used to this.
