You had been friends with Akise for a long time. You wrote news reports on his investigations. You dreamed of being a famous journalist and he wanted to be a famous detective, so it seemed to fit. Through the years you had developed a crush on Akise, and little did you know that he harbored a crush on you.
Later that day you met with Akise. For some reason you couldn't stop blushing but when you started writing the report with Akise, things were really cool.
"This is already getting pretty long." Akise stated.
"Maybe it's time for a break." you told him.
"But this is getting good." Akise responded.
"You're stressed. I'm stressed. We could use a fifteen minute break. Come on." you pleaded, giving him puppy dog eyes. He blushed a bit.
"Alright. Alright. Fine. But only fifteen minutes" Akise conceded.
"'Kay." you said before running off to get coffee.
You got yourself and Akise coffee and then returned to your computer where Akise still sat.
"Hey (y/n). You're back." Akise stated, nose deep in his notes.
"Yup. I was gone for like five minutes. I brought coffee. And the point of a break is to take a break" you informed him. He took the coffee.
"Thanks." he replied taking the drink.
"Not a problem." you said before kissing his cheek causing both of you to blush.
"Look, (y/n), I really like you. Would you maybe consider being more than friends?"Akise asked.
"I'd love that." you answered.
Akise kissed you again. Maybe this partnership could work.
