Chloe groaned as she woke up on a bed, still blinded and tied up.
"Shhh." Daniel spoke, "don't scream or he'll come back."
"Hmm?" She responded.
"I'm going to remove the blindfold." He said, "please don't panic."
He removed the blindfold and Chloe saw him, her eyes widening.
"Mhm mmm hmm mhm!" She spoke against the tape against her mouth.
"I'll remove the tape as long as you don't scream." He said, "Promise you won't scream?"
She slightly nodded with changing the glare in her eyes that she had on him. He removed the tape from her mouth.
"Daniel, what the fuck!" She whispered in rage.
"I'm sorry!" He whispered, "I had no choice!"
"Your father is insane."
"Tell me something I don't know." He frowned, "I didn't want him to hurt you or your father."
"My dad will kill him once he finds us."
"You don't understand." He said, "my dad is crazy. He has guns and will do anything for everything. Your dad HAS to win that race."
"Why don't we just. . .run away?" She asked.
"Run away?" He questioned, "my dad would find us."
"He would be too focused on my dad." She explained, "please."
"But where would we go?" Daniel asked, "we can't take my car, my dad put a tracker in it."
"We'll figure it out." She answered, "can you please untie me now?"
Daniel sighed as he looked at the ground, thinking of what Storm would do if they were to be found if they went through with this plan. He looked up at Chloe, staring into her eyes. They were pleading to him. A chance to spend time with Chloe freely was a chance he was willing to take.
McQueen, Guido, Luigi, and Cruz made their way to the beach.
"Why are we at the beach?" Cruz asked.
"Because this is my training. To race on the sand, dirt, gravel. . .anything on the Earth." Lightning answered.
"Here's your car, Lightning." Mack said as he parked the truck.
"Great. Let's get started." Lightning replied.
"I'll track your speed with Hamilton." Cruz smiled.
Lightning rolled his eyes. After endless hours of racing back and forth on the beach, McQueen was tired out.
"You topped out at 198." Cruz spoke.
"That's it?" McQueen frowned.
"Still slower than storm." She replied.
He stormed off the beach and the others followed.
"Wasted my WHOLE day."
"I wouldn't say that." Cruz told him, "we were on the beach racing!"
"That wasn't real racing. That was just driving straight. How am I going to get my daughter back if I can't even-"
McQueen then saw a sign that said Thunder Hollow.
"Thunder Hollow!" He said, "there's a dirt track there! That's what I need! To race against actual racers."
"NO!" Luigi said, "Too public, if the press find you, they will be like many bugs on you."
