Journal's

Severus had spent several mornings reading through the journals of James Potter. The man was boring and an idiot. He read the ones after Potter left Hogwarts first hoping to discover things about Dumbledore, the war, the Aurors, or even Sakura and Lily. Potter complained about Lily being pregnant and when Sakura was born for the first three months but nothing after that regarding his wife or child. Potter spent most of the time writing about pranks and Black. Severus wondered if Potter was in love with Black. Potter did write about Lupin and how he believed that Lupin might be the traitor because he was a werewolf but that was only for two pages.

This morning he decided to read the journals regarding some of the Hogwarts years. So far they were boring. The journals did was speak of the pranks they pulled on him. The details, how they crafted each part, and who did what. He read about a map. A map they used to find him for the pranks. He was going to have to go to Finch and locate the Marauder's Map. If the man didn't have it any longer, he was going to have the goblins recall it. Currently, he was reading through the endless pages of what Potter wrote about the description of what he believed his animagi form might be. Potter had these grand ideas of what he thought his form was from the regal dragons and other mystical animals to the majestic lions. He wasn't surprised when Potter turned out to be a stag. Severus skimmed through the pages until he caught sight of Pettigrew's name. Pettigrew was a patchy grey rat with black eyes.

Severus got out of bed and went directly to the Dark Lord's bedroom. He knocked on the door and didn't bother to wait for his Lord to open the door before he entered the room. The Dark Lord was in the process of heading to the door when Severus entered. "I found Pettigrew."

"You did?"

"Yes, and it's going to make Dumbledore look even worse in the eyes of the wizarding world."

"I see." The Dark Lord indicated for Severus to take a seat. Severus sat down. "The answer was in Potter's journals?"

"Yes, surprisingly so." Severus began to flip the pages in the journal as the Dark Lord pour him some coffee. "Pettigrew is a patchy grey rat with black eyes."

The Dark Lord thought that the description sounded familiar. He wasn't sure why as he placed the cup of coffee in front of Severus. He reached for a blueberry muffin. He put it on a plate. "Why is that description familiar?"

"It's the rat that Ron Weasley has that belonged to Percy Weasley for ten years."

"I'm meeting with Arthur Weasley tomorrow. I am willing to bet he would love to turn Pettigrew over to Madam Bones and inform her that the rat has been in his home for almost 12 years with Molly and Dumbledore's full knowledge. Given the potions in his system, it will make Dumbledore and Molly look even worse."

"It would certainly explain why he was so certain that Black was innocent and could be able to obtain custody of my sun. He was waiting to pull the Black had no trial for a reason. Pettigrew was his backup plan. It was what he was counting on before the inheritance tests."

"I agree. Dumbledore always has plans within plans. He will be counting on using Pettigrew. Once Black is released, he will find a way to convince Black to go after Sakura."

"Yes, and given how much Black and I hate each other, I can see Black willingly doing so." Severus hated Black. Black was a bully. "I also think Potter was in love with Black."

"Oh?"

"Yes. In the journal, he only mentions Lily when she is pregnant and then for about three months after Sakura is born. He never stops mentioning Black. When we were at Hogwarts, he mentions doesn't mention Lily except for a few times in our fifth year when he talks about how amazing she is. It is like he goes through cycles. I want to chart it to see if he was on some love potions."

"You think he was too? Lily believed he was. I know in her research she mentions it." The Dark Lord had been doing research regarding love potions. He was working with Rookwood and Narcissa on the research.

"I need to read through her journals and research and compare it with his journals. Just reading his journals I noticed a cycle of his obsession with Black and no one else and suddenly Lily is added."

"Dumbledore put a lot into his plan for the war and his control of our world. I wonder what Grindelwald might be able to tell us or even his great aunt." Severus wanted to go to Germany but knew Dumbledore would discover it if he did. There had to be a way of discovering what information Grindelwald might be able to provide.

"I believe we will get the information. Madam Bones is very interested in getting answers on that connection. I believe more of Dumbledore's secrets will come out. His skeletons will not remain hidden for much longer." The Dark Lord was looking forward to seeing Dumbledore destroyed by his own deeds. The dominos of Dumbledore's demise were starting to fall down. The Dark Lord looked at the clock on the table by his bed. "Sakura will be up soon."

"Yes, she is looking forward to going to Gringotts today. She is excited to go through the books."

The Dark Lord smiled. "I promised her that he could also take some of the stuff from a few of the trunks too." (Sakura was more excited about looking at the rings for Severus but she wasn't going to inform Severus of that information.) Tom had already arranged for Ironclaw to have the rings from Sakura and her mutual vaults. He also wanted Sakura to look at the heir rings from her vaults. "I asked Ironclaw to pull out Sakura's heir rings."

"Good idea. we can put on a chain and use as a portkey for her. We can put it on a necklace for her to wear."

"I will." The Dark Lord was going to add a few parseltongue protection spells as well. "Perhaps we can meet for lunch?"

"Yes, and after that, we will need to do some shopping. I need to pick a few things in Diagon Alley." Severus was already making a list of things he needed.

Sakura came running into the room. "Sev, Sev, you in here?"

"Yes, Sakura. I am." Severus didn't get to finish before Sakura was in his arms.

Sakura looked at the Dark Lord. She appeared puzzled but dismissed it. "When do we go to see the Goblins?"

"After you eat breakfast." Severus kissed the top of Sakura's head. "How do pancakes sound?"

"They sound better than cereal." Sakura smirked
