- "Is anybody willing to keep me accompany??" Said Karl.
I shall go with Karl since I've got nothing else to do. George stole the book that I've been wanted to read. I feel pissed. 24 hours of boredom and it's finally my time to step out of the house. I don't care anymore.
I looked at karl and said "I would". He looked back at me and answered "Mkay. Also , you can bring a pocket knife incase y'know." I nodded , "Okie , give me few mins I'll be right back."
I quickly got up from the sofa and stretched. Then I went upstairs to my room and took a quick shower. After that , I picked an outfit and put it on. I packed my stuffs and went downstairs.

I went downstairs and saw Karl waiting for me outside. So I went to him. "I'm ready , Karl." I said. "Oky , let's go." He smiled at me and so was I. We started walking and went to a guard for the permission to go to the store.
Karl's pov :
We walked towards a guard and ask for permission. "My friend and I are going to a shop for new stocks of food." I said. "Who's that girl beside you?" The guard asked me not answering the permission. "My housemate , Caroline." I answered. I know they need to ask for names but the guy's tone of asking is kind of awkward but I guess It's because this is the first time she has stepped out of the house since the very first day of chaos. "She's a very beautiful girl , I tell you." The guard said. I felt sick. "Sir , she's 17." I spoke. The guard then moves his gaze from me and stares at her in the eyes. For some reason , he looked frightened. I don't really know what's happening. "I'm sorry but can we go now?" I asked politely. "Uhm , yes. You guys may go now." The guard answered nervously, hesitated also. Confused but started making our way to the store anyway.
'why did the guy hesitate?'.
I looked at her and asked "are you oke?" She looked back at me. "Ye , I'm fine. Used to it ig." Confused again. "Used to it? Wdym?" I asked her concernely. "Cat-calling man" She answered my questions clearly a bit annoyed. "Okok I'm sorry man. *I giggled nervously.* But why did the guy seem to be hesitating?" I asked her. "Ion know , ask him." That's the only answer she could give??? My face did the confused AGAIN. "Sure , ig. Oh and btw I'm sorry about earlier. But the guard was telling the truth." I said raising my eyebrows and smiled. "Awh really?" she answered. "Mhm, really." I continued. She showed her cocky face to me. I just giggle.
But still , I'm really confused about when the guard was hesitating. I'm curious to know why but I don't wanna force her to explain because I know it'll be awkward since we're not really close to eachother. So I decided to forget about it and continue walking. But should I be worried about it?
Caroline's pov :
We started making our way to the nearest shop. Wtf just happened? Why did that guard hesitate? I have no idea. It happened suddenly. Like randomly. But anyway , I pushed away those thoughts aside and continued walking and act as if nothing has happened earlier.
Few minutes later , we found the nearest store. Karl and I went inside. "Ight , Care. You can buy whatever you want , I'll pay. Don't forget to buy for the others too." Karl said while taking a basket. "Do you bring a lot of money with you , Karl? I don't wanna risk it." I answered him with a worrying-like face. He nodded and smiled. "Okie." I passed the smile back to him and we split up.
I went to the fruit aisle to get some fruits , obviously. There weren't many choices to pick but I saw some apples so I took 10 of them red ones. I also took some mangos and strawberries and put it in the plastic bag that has been prepared for fruits. Then I placed them in my cart.
I then went to the candy aisle. I took some of my favourite candies and put it into my cart. Next, I wanna find Karl. So I make my way to find him.
I went past to one aisle and another and another and another and another and another. Couldn't find him. Is he like.. playing hide and seek or something? But I feel a strange feeling and it feels like somebody's following me from behind. I couldn't even dare to seek my gaze. My heartbeat increases and I don't feel safe. Where is he?
"Karl?" Then I felt my eyes being blinded by someone's hands...
