"Hey, Wise Girl, we there yet?" Percy asked Annabeth from the backseat, where he was playing the bingo game with blue cars with their youngest, Nemo. The five-year-old was constantly making noises with his Thomas the Tank Engine toy and stuffed clownfish, occasionally glancing out the window to look for blue cars.

"No, Perce, we still have an hour to go til we reach Forks. Hold tight and we'll make it." Annabeth answered, shaking her head at her husband's jitters. At least they didn't take a plane. The Jackson family tried that, once, and it ended up with three air-sick kids and multiple armrests pulled off their chairs. The airports in all of New York and California banned them from flying in or out after that.

Charlie and Silena, 16-year-old twins, were amusing themselves with knife fighting. Charlie was sitting in the front seat, so Annabeth yelled at him multiple times for almost cutting her with his Celestial bronze knife.

The middle Jackson kid was sitting quietly in her seat, reading the fourth book of the Twilight series. Ariel was only ten, but she acted the most mature of the four kids. And she was taking all advanced classes in the fourth grade.

Annabeth sighed. It was going to be a long last hour of the 48-hour trip from New York.

They finally arrived at their hotel around supper time, fought a hydra, and went to bed.

The next day the Jacksons decided to go the beach. Percy found a nice little private stretch of cool sea for them to use their water powers without confusing many locals.

Silena and her mom decided to tan, while Ariel kept her nose in her book. The boys were having an all out water war, including much dunking and sputtering.

None of them noticed the giant rust colored wolf and the unnaturally pale teen approaching them.

"Hey." The teen said, surprising the whole family. Ariel dropped her book. Annabeth's hand strayed towards the beach bag, which held all of thier weapons, except Percy's. He was clenching Riptide tightly.

"Who are you?" Charlie asked, edging closer and closer to his mom and the beach bag for his knife.

"I'm Reneesme, but you can call me Nessie. This is my companion Jacob. We just saw you playing over here and wanted to say hi." The teen's voice rang like little, beautiful silver bells. That put the family on high alert. That, and the giant wolf. Even Nemo was next to his mom, eager to get his weapon.

"Nice to meet you, Nessie. I'm Annabeth Jackson. These are my kids and husband." Annabeth gestures to her family, all now sitting less than two feet away from the beach bag.

Nessie nodded like she wanted Annabeth to continue introducing. Percy stepped in. "I'm Percy Jackson, and this is Charlie, Silena, Ariel, and Nemo. We're here on vacation."

Nessie smiled. "If you need anyone to show you around, give me a call. I live at the Cullen mansion up on that hill."

Ariel perked up. "Did you say Cullen?"

Nessie nodded. "Why?"

Ariel's grey eyes searched the pale, beautiful teen. "You're in the book I've been reading. Along with your mother and father. Is that wolf Jacob?" She said her words carefully.

Nessie's eyes narrowed. "What book?"

Annabeth looked at the book her daughter had dropped. Breaking Dawn, it said. She had read the Twilight series a couple years ago when the books first came out. She always dismissed it as fantasy, but now, since they were actually in Forks, Washington.....

Ariel tossed her book to the teen. The teen sped-read it, her frown deepening with every page.

"This is....stalkerish. Who's this Stephinie Meyer?" She asked.

Ariel shrugged. "An author."

The redish-brown wolf snarled.

Nessie sighed. "As long as you keep me and my family's secret safe."

The Jackson family nodded. "We will." Ariel said solemnly.
