This is an original idea. All mine, and no one shall steal it. Enjoy!

JORDAN🐬

What happens when your brother--ahem, I mean stepbrother--is the most popular guy in the whole school and is dating your arch nemesis? A whole lot of drama, that's what happens. Along with some unexpected surprises along the way.

"Jor-dan! Time for schoo-ool!" A 8-year old voice shouted in a sing-songy voice.

"I'm up, Aiden!" I shouted back to my brother, then grumbled under my breath, "Why can't I use my alarm clock like a normal teen?" I slipped on a pair of capris and a tee and ran downstairs to grab some breakfast.

"Morning, Dad. Morning, Jen." I said to the people already sitting at the kitchen table. I grabbed a bowl of cereal and joined them.

"Excited for yet another week at high school?" Dad asked.

"Nope. Not at all." I answered, then counted the people in the kitchen/dining room. "Is Justin up?"

"Yes, I am, Jordan." answered a voice behind me. Justin rushed into the kitchen to grab something quick to sit down with. Then he turned to his mom. "Is it okay if I have Brianna over after practice?" I scowled as she nodded. Brianna was the most popular girl in school and enjoyed making others'(mainly me) lives miserable.

"It's 7:30! We're gonna be late! Daddy!" Aiden called from the kitchen back door, all ready to go. I shoved on the last few bites of cereal in, brushed my teeth, and grabbed my backpack on the way out the door.

"Soooo.... How's being Mr. Popular's sister going?" My best friend Christina asked.

"It's okay, other than the fact that she comes over all the time." I said, scowling at Brianna, who sidled over to Justin the minute she saw him, flipping her long blonde hair flirtatiously.

"Heeey there, beautiful ladies." I smiled, knowing Dave's voice.

"Miss us?" asked Rylan as he and Dave sidled up to Christina and I.

"No, we didn't, you guys." I answered, feigning a look of seriousness.

They laughed loudly. Christina's laughter died down when she saw Brianna coming towards us. The twins also stopped laughing.

"Hey, loser. I see you haven't left town yet. Get your ugly face out of here and go back to where your mom got you, the zoo."

"Are you sure I'm from a zoo, Brianna, 'cause I'm pretty sure the way you're acting now can get you there." I said snarkily. She makes me angry any time she turns up, which is why Christina dragged me to Math before I punch something. Tina is the bestest friend a girl like me could have.

I noticed that like all the band days, Justin wasn't in band, even though he said he was. I always see him go into the janitor's closet with his trumpet case. It struck me as odd the first time I saw him do that. I hope he doesn't know that I know. Justin is pretty much the coolest guy in school, good grades, good athlete, good attitude. Everyone likes him. All the girls have crushes on him, except me. I always saw the popular him as a cover up for something he's hiding. Maybe a geeky side? Or an evil plan to rule the world? I dunno. But Justin is definitely hiding something.

"Oh, Justin, we should really hang out a lot more often." whined Brianna.

"But, sweetie, I'm busy with sports and school. And I think we shouldn't get overdoses of each other. It's fine as it is." Justin said.

"But pleeease????"

I imagined that bowl of popcorn in her lap to dump its contents on her, giving me a good laugh. I almost smiled at the thought. Almost, because having Brianna in the house is like having a sick mother. You're never happy.
