Eliza's pov
18 January 2016It was now 18:00, meaning it was time for me to leave as Jamie would be arriving shortly.
"I don't want you to leave mami." Jamell said gripping my hand as his bottom lip quivered.
"I'll be back tomorrow, see your mother is home now." I told him as Jamie walked through the front door.
"Please don't leave." He pleaded crying as he tightly clinged onto my body.
"You not happy to see me baby?" Jamie questioned smiling at him.
"Go greet your mother Mel." I said pointing at her.
I furrowed my eyebrows as I watched him flinch once she raised her hands.
Now I know why he didn't want me to call her.
She is the one who is abusing him.
"Thank you Eliza, here's your money, safe trip." She said handing me and envelope.
"Thank you, bye Mel." I said giving her a fake smile.
"Mamii." He whined hugging me.
"I'll see you tomorrow Mel okay, my ride is here so I have to go now." I said kissing his forehead.
After a while he finally let me go walking with me to the front door.
"Bye bye." I greeted one last time before walking over to my cousin's car.
Omniscient
Jamell sadly closed the door as more tears fell from his eyes.
Turning around Jamell felt as if his heart had skipped a beat once he saw the look on his mother's face.
"What's this?" She questioned holding up a piece of one of the plates he had broke.
"M-ma I'm sorry,Mel sorry." He apologized as his chest heaved up and down.
"Don't think this baby shit will work on me, go to my room, now!" She shouted angrily.
Jamell cried out as he knew he would get beat.
It wasn't his fault though.
It doesn't even help with the fact that his mother thinks he is faking his problems even after being diagnosed by many different doctors.
Out in public you would think she is the most perfect, loving and caring mother who loves her son to death...
But no, what goes on behind closed doors is always different.
Would the truth soon come out?
Or would the poor boy continue to suffer.
Would Eliza be able to save him in time?
Or would she brush it off like nothing?
I guess time will only tell.
His life is in your hands Eliza.
