Where were you?

Where were you
when I used to cry myself to sleep?
When I hid tears behind a smile,
when I was at my lowest,
when everything seemed useless to save me,
when I felt the lonelier.

I wonder why,
why I was always there
but you never were.

Why you had to make me feel so useless,
why did you have to leave me alone
especially in the times I needed you the most.

Just give me a reason and I'll leave you alone.
