You were never good for me. I knew it, but I couldn't help but let you pull me in deeper. I was falling for you and you knew that.. At least I thought you did. You treated me like yours and that's all I wanted to be. But it seemed like I was yours but you weren't mines. She had a hold on you. No matter how much you'll tell me you don't love her, I always saw something there whenever the lips that's supposed to be mine.. touched hers.

Look at you worrying about something you can't change.
"Trey I don't want you hanging with those boys on the corner." Mama B said firmly while looking over at Trey. Her glare was cold as he just laughed and slightly waved her off before speaking. "Ma, chill." His laugher filled the air again only to be replaced by a groaned as Mama B slapped him upside the head. His jaw slightly clenched showing his irritation as he shook his head. I couldn't help but smile a little because even when irritated he still seemed to be flawless.
"I'm serious Trey. I don't want you with them and I defiantly don't want you around Marcus." Marcus was a friend of Trey's. Trey told him everything about anything. I wouldn't be surprise if he knew about us. Mama B hated Marcus, as well as me. I never trusted him and I told Trey that but he never listen.
"Mama's right, Trey." I blurted once she left the room. "Why waste your time on the corner with them?" I soon regretted that statement when his cold glare hit my face. He chuckled bitterly before licking over his lips.
"Shut up."
"Don't tell me to shut up."
If looks could kill, we both would drop dead right now in this kitchen. I didn't care. He always wanted to help someone but never looked at the consequences of it. Him helping Marcus with a little "Favor" could lead to him losing everything completely. He never thought about that though. He always wanted to stay loyal to the one that stay "loyal" to him. "Stop saying dumb shit and I wouldn't have to tell you that." His voice was filled with irritation. The only reaction he got from me was a simple eye roll and a lip smack. I didn't have time to fight with him about his life. He never listened anyways.
"Stop smacking ya' crusty ass lips." He muttered as his tall frame now towered over me. There were humor in his voice but his face still showed irritation which was a sign for me to still ignore him. His irritating laugh filled my ears as his hands gripped my waist as his body moved closer to mines. His sent filled my nose as I slightly closed my eyes savoring it before his soft lips met my ear.
"I'm gonna continue to hang with my niggas because I'm a grown ass man. You and mama can't change that."
"You're so damn stupid!"
My hands tired their best to push him away from me but there was no luck. His lips curled into a smile against my ear as he pulled me even closer to him. My struggles soon ceased as I just let myself melt in his embrace. My arms wrapped around his waist as my head laid against his chest listening to his heartbeat. We were in a comfortable silence as his hands glided under my shirt rubbing small circles against my lower back.
