You two were in an argument because of Donna.  You thought he liked Donna more than you so you asked him if he liked her more than you and he started a whole argument about it.  He was yelling at you and you could feel the tears in your eyes.  He didn't stop yelling until you actually had the tears fall, he stopped when the first tear fell he immediately hugged and apologized to you for the argument.

You guys got in an argument because of how many fights he was getting into.  You were sitting on your couch watching tv when you asked him why he got in so many fights, he made a huge deal out of it and now you two were arguing in your living room.  You knew you couldn't hold back your tears but once he realized you were crying. he stopped he was going to give you a hug, but you moved away when he did.  He started apologizing but you just told him to get out.
