Asgore pov

"Gaster,   is it almost done?"
"Soon my King."

I had appointed the Royal Scientist Gaster to work on a very important task,   freeing the Underground from its prison.    We finally had all 7 souls required to break the barrier sealing us away from the world.    I can finally give my family a better life.
Maybe even earn Toriel's love again,   oh how I miss her.

"Just a few more calculations and then we can break the barrier."
"Wonderful,  thank you Gaster."

I left the skeleton to his duties and exited the lab completely,   a tear escaped my eye as I thought of Toriel and my two kids.
Asriel,  Y/n,   soon you will see the surface and live happily.    When Toriel left me she took them with her,   she didn't like my method of escaping the Underground.
If there were another way then I would do that,  but we have no other choice.
They may never forgive me for this,   but it's for the good of all monster kind.

Y/n pov

"Asriel stop cheating."
"I'm not cheating,  you're just bad at this."
I huffed in annoyance at my brother,   we've been playing a gaming console that fell from the surface and I feel like he's been cheating.
"How can you be so good already even-"
I didn't finish my sentence as the ground began to shake violently.    I held on to Asriel for dear life,   hiding in his comforting embrace.

"Asriel,  Y/n,  are you both ok?"
Mom rushed in from her snail and herb errands,  she rushed over and checked if we got hurt anywhere.   "Mom what was that?!"  Asriel asked,  just as frightened as I am.
"It must be one of Gasters experiments,  though it hasn't been this bad to my knowledge."

She stood up and looked toward the door leading to Snowdin.  "Something is very different,   they must have broken the barrier."   Asriel and I looked at each other.
"We can finally see the surface?"   I asked,  I really want to see the stars.    "I'm not sure.  Let us first look around the town and see if everyone is ok."

We both followed mom out to Snowdin and checked on everyone. 
"Uncle Sans!"  I shouted while pounding on the door his house.   The door opened to reveal the lazy bones himself.
"Uncle Sans,  are you and Uncle Papy ok? "
"Yeah,  Paps just got a text from Undyne saying that Gaster and Alphys broke the barrier."    Our conversation was cut short by the sound of huffing and puffing,   Asgore himself was running toward Snowdin.
Seeing him sent pure joy through me.

"DADDY!"

In an instant I jumped into his loving arms,  soon followed by Asriel.

"Oh my beloved babies,  you're all grown up."   Asriel and I both giggles at how exhausted he was.

"Asgore?"

It's almost as if time had stopped as mom stepped closer.

"Toriel."

Daddy set us down and embraced mom.
"Please forgive me,  I have done you wrong and almost lost you and the kids.    The barrier is broken,  now we can live a better life together."

Both mom and daddy were in tears,  equally missing each other. 

And that's when they kissed.

"EW,  COOTIES!"

Asriel and I made a mad dash into Uncle Sans and Papy's house.   No way am I catching cooties today!
