You stirred lightly in your seat, slowly prying your eyes open. You don't remember dozing off, but you must have been out for some time seeing as the ship just landed. You turned your head, examining the empty seat next to you.

You heard a light chuckle from behind you, "don't worry, you weren't knocked out too long."

You rubbed your eyes, observing through the glass, "we're here?"

He shrugged, "it only took a few hours, It's still the same night."

You stood up from your seat, handing the cloak back to Anakin, "I think this belongs to you."

He gracefully donned his cloak as you and Anakin exited the ship, meeting Obi-wan at the foot of the steps.

"Master, we should get moving with the council meeting if we want to find my mother and-"

"Patience, Anakin."

The young Jedi's pools of blue boiled into his Master's unyielding gaze.

"But Master-"

Obi-Wan's hand raised up, quieting Anakin, "I will need to speak with the council first about our new guest, then I promise we will be on our way. Until then you will show (y/n) to her quarter's," Obi-Wan eyed you, "and maybe get her a bath, the poor thing hasn't been able to wash up since we left. Now please Anakin, I will take my leave."

Anakin watched his master disappear among the crowd of aliens and humans alike and paced around back and forth, "This isn't fair! We need to find her!" He spat.

You raised your hands as if trying to tame him, "Anakin, this is no time to act on emotion. We have to-"

"You sound just like him," he snapped at you, moving your hands away, "You barely even know her!" Anakin regretted saying that as soon as it came out of his mouth. His words were like a sharp knife to the gut, the pain reflecting in your eyes.

"No..(y/n) I'm sorry I didn't mean-"

"It's okay. You're her son..."

With that, a silence fell over Anakin as he chewed on his inner cheek. Why did he have to have such a big mouth when he was mad.

"We need to trust Obi Wan." You finished.

Anakin reluctantly nodded, exhaling deeply, "I guess we should go find your quarters then, huh?"

You examined yourself in the mirror after a warm shower, scanning every valley and hill. You had never really seen your full reflection before.

A knock at the door broke your fixation, "(y/n), it's Anakin. I have something for you."

Your heart dropped to your feet as you scrambled for a robe, tying the front with more forcefulness than you intended. Carefully, you slid the door open, revealing the most beautiful pair of doe eyes Anakin had ever seen in his life. He was shocked into a spell of momentary silence.

"I-uh um...I got you some clothes. Hopefully they fit, but I'd figured you needed them."

"Oh Anakin...thank you," you said while he avoided your gaze.

The clothes were nearly skin tight, but hugged your curves nicely. You wore a crop top zip up in black with a matching pair of leggings. Anakin had great taste. You decided that the zipper had looked best a few inches below your cleavage. So what? You wanted to feel like a woman after playing slave your entire life, and this time no one was going to hold you back.

When you emerged from your room you discovered Anakin leaned against a wall.

"Has the meeting ended," you questioned.

Anakin properly stood to fully face you. His expression dropped at the sight of you, a million different sensations surging from his throat to his feet, "you look good" he gently admitted.

You felt a blush creeping up to your cheeks as you notice his eyes fixated into yours.

"Anakin-"

"Huh? Oh...no the meeting is still going."

"Oh okay."

There was a pause before Anakin spoke, his lips thin.

"I think I could use a distraction and I'm sure you're hungry. Wanna get dinner?"

***

Anakin slid out a chair. You raised a brow as he gestured for you to take a seat. Amusement danced in his orbs.

"Everything alright?"

You blinked, placing yourself in the chair as he pushed you close to the table, "I'm sorry...I guess I'm just not used to so much kindness. Thank you."

Anakin gave you a boyish grin, "No need to thank me miss (y/n). There's more where that came from."

Your lips parted at his response, studying his features for any hint of sarcasm, but he held his smile.

"nice view, right?" He nodded his head toward the large window beside your table.

You glanced outside to a menagerie of stars and galaxies and moons, "I don't think I've seen anything more beautiful."

"I thought you might like it."

There he was with that boyish grin again. This guy was arrogant, but it didn't annoy you for some reason. You hid your growing smile behind the menu, pretending to be interested in its contents.

There were only two things you were certain of in this world;

death is inevitable, and this boy is going to be a lot of trouble.
