𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐖𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄 and Zawadi had turned nine two months earlier. It wasn't a big deal, she ate some cake, got a few presents. Her favourite had to be from Audra, a pair of silver rings that she tended to fidget with to pass time.

She was sitting in Lorianne's apartment on the floor playing an intense game of Uno with Franny, Blaise, Leslie and Hal as the woman paced back and forth in front of the tv.

It was eight in the morning and Zawadi would rather be in her bed, asleep. It was Monday, they didn't have shows on Monday but apparently the nominations for the 57th Annual Antoinette Perry (Tony) Awards were going to be announced at 8:30 in the goddamn morning, Nona was on the phone with the Madden's back in New York who we're watching CBS on the other side of the ocean. It was like 1:30 pm over there.

Nina had set up a camera by Pat's request, the woman wanting to see the moment for herself at some point.

"Lori, sweetheart you're gonna pace a moat into your floor," Hal tried but the woman ignored him.

Zawadi had never seen her so stressed, she hadn't even bothered to get dressed, still clad in her silk pyjama pants and robe.

Zawadi was not surprised she wore silk to bed, like at all. The only silk Zawadi wore was on her head—her bonnet, which she was still wearing.

Franny slammed down a card, "Uno!" She yelled drawing everyone's attention back to the game. Zawadi casually placed down a +two card and her brother doubled it, it went around before it hit Franny who glared at all of them. "I HATE YOU!"

Audra chuckled from where she lounged on the couch watching over them.

"Hate the game, not the player."

"It's on! They're on! Everybody shut up!" Lorianne snapped turning the volume up on the TV and they all turned to watch the announcement. John Lithgow who won a Tony last year and Roxie Hart who Zawadi remembers from Chicago (in her CR) were announcing the nominations outside of Sardi's (some high end restaurant Zawadi didn't care about). And for the record Roxie Hart is one beautiful woman.

There was an amusing back and fourth before they began to list nominees. Zawadi listened closely. Though she only had ears for the musicals.

"Nominees for Best Book of a Musical are: Didier van Cauwelaert and Jeremy Sams, Amour. Willie Reale, A Year With Frog and Toad. Hal Prince, Gilded Lily. Marc O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, Hairspray."

There was a celebratory yell.

Zawadi turned to the man, "I didn't know you wrote the script."

He shrugged, "It was Lorianne's idea I just guided her through it, besides I wanted to try my hand at something other than Directing."
