Sitting at the table dressed in her primary school uniform, holding a steaming cup of ginger and hibiscus tea to settle her stomach, she glared right at Lauren who was glaring right back at her.

There was a bruise the size of Zawadi's foot on her face but Zawadi was too bitter about her situation to even apologize.

She was stuck.

How the fuck was that possible?!

In fact she is very sure that there was no way in world for that to be possible. She read that on multiple sites! It was all over YouTube!

And yet here she was!!!

Bullshit!

Bullshit!

Her safe word wasn't working. Falling asleep here was supposed to be her waking up in her CR, what the hell was going on?!

Dick came in dressed for the day and looked at the foot shaped bruise on his daughter's face, a little short escaping him.

Lauren glared at him, "It's not funny! I was supposed to meet Charlie after school, look at it!"

Zawadi grumbled, she too had a date in what was supposed her grown ass adult body in her CR! Was she there?! No!

Bullshit.

Bullshit.

"This is why we need to make space in that extra room upstairs, Amayah," Dick said.

Her Nona raised a brow as she placed tea in front of Richard and Blaise, "Do you have renovation money?"

"You literally have two mattresses upstairs."

"She's African," Zawadi muttered. "It's how we function, mattress equals bed, minor equals floor."

"You see," Nona pointed at Zawadi, "I raised her right."

"She's younger than us," Lauren pointed at Zawadi too. "She should get the floor."

"It's my room!"

"Yeah well, respect your elders!"

Bullshît!

"I would rather bash in my own skull."

Blaise whistled, "Someone's grumpy."

"Someone's grumpy," she mocked him bitterly. She did this to see him again but she was stuck so she was bitter.
