Elvis and Leslie were on Beale Street in Lansky Bros. Men's Shop with B.B. King. Leslie was with them because she preferred the looseness of suits over the tightness of dresses.
Lansky was grabbing a pair of shoes for Elvis and Leslie to try on with their suits, "Mr. Presley, Mr. King and Ms. Wright... regular peas in a pod, relieving me of my finest threads. Must be some occasion."
Elvis and Leslie were sat on the bench in front of the mirror, B.B. stood next to them. Elvis wore a pink suit with black pants and Leslie wore a maroon suit with black pants.
Elvis stood up while Lansky walked over to them, "Mr. Lansky, it's Milton Berle."
Lansky handed a pair of shoes to Elvis and a pair to Leslie, who let out a chuckle despite the nerves she was feeling, "The whole of America'll be watching."
"I don't watch television," Lansky stated as he placed a handkerchief in B.B.'s suit pocket.
"So what's it gonna be?" B.B. asked the duo as they placed on their shoes to go with their outfits, "How you two gonna blow their wigs off?"
"Well, the network wants us to do a ballad," Elvis explained as he and Leslie stood up before looking in the mirror, "But we're thinking about cuttin' it up with 'Hound Dog'."
"Whoo!" B.B. exclaimed, "Elvis Presley and Leslie Wright, 'Hound Dog', and Uncle Miltie."
B.B. joined they're side as they messed with they're suits, "Strange things are happening every day."

Elvis and Leslie preformed Hound Dog and the fans loved it.
"You ain't nothin' but a hound dog, hound dog," Elvis sang as they moved around.
"Cryin' all the time," Leslie sang, "You ain't nothin' but a Hound Dog."
"Cryin' all the time," Elvis sang before they sang together.
"Well, you ain't never caught a rabbit. And you ain't no friend of mine."
"When they said you was high classes," Leslie sang, "Well, that was just a lie."
"Yeah, they said you were high classed," Elvis sang, "Well, that was just a lie."
"Behold, tomorrow, all of America will be talking about Elvis Presley and Leslie Wright," Colonel told Diskin as the watched Elvis, Leslie and how the crowd reacted to them.
"Well, you ain't never caught a rabbit and you ain't no friend of mine."
They decided to try something a little different and added a slower Blue's part that they haven't done before, "You ain't nothin' but a Hound Dog, Hound Dog. Cryin' all the time. Well, you ain't never caught a rabbit and you ain't no friend of mine."
The fans loved it, but people with power in the community didn't.

"The obscenity and vulgarity of this rock and roll music is obviously a means by which the white man and his children can be driven by the level of the Negro."
