Chapter 6: Siren Song

It was a few days after Derek had become the alpha. Nothing had stood out or seemed out of the ordinary. Until, Lydia's first day back at school. Sebastian met up with her and Allison before they walked in through the main entrance.

"They called it a fugue state, which is basically a way of saying. We have no idea why you were running through the woods...naked for two days," Lydia rapidly spat out. "But personally I don't care. I lost nine pounds."

"Are you ready for this?" Allison asked.

"Please it's not like my aunt is a serial killer," Lydia walked inside followed by Allison and Sebastian. Once inside everyone had their eyes on them. Well, only on Allison and Lydia. It was as if time stopped, no one moved a muscle. They stood there, staring at them. "Maybe it's the 9 pounds," Allison whispered. As she composed herself, Lydia moved her hair out of her face and walked into the school as if it was her runway.

Once he arrived home, he turned on the news for background noise as he made something to eat. Hearing his phone ring in the other room. He went to go pick it up. The Caller ID read Private Number but he chose to answer anyway, "Hello?"

"Sebastian! It's great to hear you're voice!" Said the familiar voice.

"Aunt Stella! Are you okay? Are you with Aunt Kat? When are you guys coming back?" Sebastian bombarded her with questions. He could hear his aunt laughing, "Calm down, we're fine! We should be done here soon. Have they sent a mentor yet?"

"You know I'm starting to think they aren't going to send one," he walked toward the kitchen again. This time he sat down to snack on some almonds.

"That's strange, well I guess they have bigger fish to fry at the moment. Anyways tell me about school. Any boys worth mentioning?" She asked and she received, He mentioned everything that had happened. To find out that one of his best friends comes from a family of hunters. That he kissed both of his friend's boyfriends. He might be in love with one of them but he's not sure if it's his Incubus part that is making them like him back or not. Also mentioning the dream that wasn't a dream. He saw an alpha die and now Derek is the alpha. As well as his friend Lydia had gone missing from the hospital for a couple of days.

"Wow, that sounds eventful. I'm sorry we aren't there to help," Stella's voice was full of sympathy.

"I know but it's okay I'm managing somehow..."

"Is there something else going on Sebs?" Stella was weary of his pause.

"Well...it's just that...how do I know if someone likes me for me. It's Not me accidentally charming them?"

"Listen even if you did charm someone it won't last long. It usually wears off about half an hour after you get away from them. As for your pheromones, they should be controlled already, they only go haywire for the first 2 weeks of the transition period."

"So-," as Sebastian was cut off he could hear alarms going off and voices yelling. "Aunt Stella is everything okay?!"

"Sorry Sebs I'll talk to you soon, I've got to go," Stella ended the phone call. Leaving her nephew worried about the noises he heard. Placing his phone on the counter, he held his head in frustration. Taking a few deep breaths he continued to prepare a meal for himself. While checking his phone every 5 minutes.

Later that day it didn't take long for something to happen. Derek had called Sebastian to his loft in the middle of the night.

He took this opportunity to spread his wings and try to fly over. Having a shaky flight, he kept cursing at himself. He landed in an alleyway, and almost knocked a trash can over. Luckily he was able to catch it before it made too much noise.
